generaly spirits are hard to tame or ward, sage is a good method to clense things yes, and will purify the things it spreads to, but to actualy keep things off I'd recomend a circle. even insects dont cross them often. I have a set of circles designed for various protections for my homes myself. it is good to alter them so they arent like normal ones, so they may be broken without breaking, if you know what I mean, no sence having a shield that stops the first time you walk out the door or invite a friend over. if you like I will give more spicific details on wardings for spirits and the like, but normaly it is best to think of your own spells, as they make them yours. but I dont mind sharing ^^ many had to share with me before I started making my own things.
