Son of a B*$%#!!! Diana was now even madder than before. Guess they dont have a sense of fair play. She prepared herself for the coming of the blades. Miki was already watching in fear for her friend but Diana wont give up without a fight. They are so gonna exprience hell...
She was now using all her speed and strength left. All she needs was her endurance. First, take out the blonde and the lavender guys. She dodged both of their blades and they collided with each other's attack, resulting to a simultaneous knock out. Next,...Crayon head of a captain. She decided to use offence on him this time. She wont allow him to get defended for long.
Summoning more energy, she let her blade go backward for a moment then charged. Resulting...to a still Wolborg and a very wobbly black beyblade that just stopped spinning a minute after the silver blade. Diana smirked inside her mind but her glare at the Blitzkreig Captain didnt falter. The lesson for the girls? Guys are sore losers. The lesson for the boys? Never try to make a girl angry.

"...I'm in?" Taichi stood quite still, slightly wide-eyed, when he saw the final results of Sento-Sasaki Junior High's 'mini-tournament'. It had been several minutes since the last 2 aspiring bladers battled each other; the members of Team BBA had been recording and tabulating the scores since then, he saw.
A classmate and friend, Kenta, suddenly came up behind him and thumped him on the back. "Good going, Tai! You made it!" The russet-haired teen winced.
"Not so loud, Kenta!" Out of the corner of his eye, he read the results again, this time committing the names of the Top Four trainees - they were in bold and at the end of each list - to memory.
Block 1A:
Satou – 14 pts
Fujita, S. – 15 pts
Chitose – 16 pts
Aizuki – 17 pts
Tanaka – 18 pts
Block 1B:
Ryuzaki – 13 pts
Tsubakura – 13 pts
Asukaga – 14 pts
Itoe – 16 pts
Matsuo – 19 pts
Block 2A:
Setsuno – 11 pts
Fujita, T. – 15 pts
Makino – 15 pts
Ryota – 17 pts
Shimamoto - 21 points
Block 2B:

"Yatta!" Yuuko practically glomped Kei after reading the list. "Kei, you got the highest score!! You're rank No. 1!!!"
Unwittingly mimicking her schoolmate Taichi in her reaction, Kei grimaced and struggled out her friend's hug. "Yuu-chan, I'd rather you didn't shout like that..." she said in a whisper. She didn't like the spotlight - never had - and given her current situation... well, it would be very difficult not to be noticed anymore...
"So!" Max said from the platform, somehow making himself over the chatter generated by the students. "Guess you guys already know who'll be representing your school, AND how they compare to each other, huh?"
"But now we've got a little treat for ya!" Takao added, stepping up beside his best friend. "Since we'll be training the Top Four trainees the most during this little program, we thought we'd give the rest of you some entertainment before you start going back to your normal, average PE schedules..."

"We're going to WHAT?!" Needless to say, Kei was quite flabbergasted when she heard what she - and the other Top Four - had to do next.
All around her, her classmates were cheering with excitement. They were being offered a chance to see a professional-level competition up close; why wouldn't they be?
"Now that we have your -ahem- undivided attention," Takao was saying up on the platform, "the match-ups will be completely random to make things more exciting."
"And I already have the first pair!" Kyouju added, holding up two slips of paper. He unrolled the first one, the students waiting with bated breath.
"Matsuo Shinji..." he read, then went to the second slip of paper. "Against Rei Kon!"
Kei gave a shuddery sigh as a cheer went up all around. She wasn't first, that was good. But now the real battles were underway, and she didn't think she could stand the pressure...

As the raors rolled on Kuusho was able to see his way back down the hall out of the statium with out being seen. he was thinking, ploting, how he would defeat such prey. These bladers are differant. They are way differant from most of the others at Saikyoku. They may get in his way. Stop him from becoming the best. Being the best at Saiyoku is not enough. i need the world. losing is to die.

I know I didn't want to go first, but did I have to be last?! Kei thought, slightly panicking now. And of all people she could go up against, it had to be Kai!
"Go get 'im, Kei!" Yuuko called, pumping her fist in the air as her dark-haired friend stepped up to the plate - or should that be platform?
Gulping nervously, Kei tried to give the girl a thankful smile, but she was sure that it came out as a grimace. Then she glanced at the other three students who'd battled Rei, Takao, and Max, in that order. Even with the members of Team BBA handicapping themselves by not using their bitbeasts, all three battles had been decidedly one-sided. Never mind that Tanaka, who battled Max, had caught the blonde-haired blader on guard with the last attack during their match; he didn't have the ultimate defense blade for nothing. Now it was her turn; why would she even bother battling Kai when the outcome was already obvious?
Because giving up outright is for wimps, Fujiwara... she thought, answering her own question. And you are NOT a wimp! With that in mind, she attached her blade to her launcher, than slipped the ripcord into place. Across from her, the slate-haired teen took up a ready stance; at right angles to them both, Takao stood, one arm in the air, about to start the countdown.
"Bladers ready? 3...2...1... Go, shoot!"
So that's Fujiwara, huh? Taichi mused, thoughtful. If he recalled correctly, it was usually that name he saw heading each list when the grades for exams were posted; he hadn't reckoned she'd be into Beyblades as well. To the copper-haired teen, it seemed that the girl didn't know how to achieve anything but first place, as was evidenced by her getting the highest score in that day's mini-tournament.
...something tells me the match-ups for these battles aren't as random as they seem... Taichi smirked.
Back at the dish...
"...are you through warming up?" Kai said suddenly, causing his younger opponent to glance up at him sharply
"P-pardon?" Kei frowned, her grip on her launcher tightening considerably. She didn't quite like the condescending tone he used; never mind what others said about Kai, he wasn't really that nice in front of a dish.
The slate-haired teen didn't bother replying; instead, he turned his attention back to the stadium and gave the command. "Dranzer, Blazing Gigus! Now!"
The amethyst-eyed student nearly took a step back at this. True, none of the Team BBA members had used their bitbeasts to attack, but the techniques they used were all quite strong nonetheless. And 'Blazing Gigus' was one of Kai's strongest to date. Matsuo-san lasted around 2 minutes, Tanaka-san 2 1/2, and Shimamoto-san 3 minutes. What if I'm out after this one attack? That would be so embarassing...
"Stand your ground, Gogyou!" she commanded her blade, once Kai's Dranzer collided with it. Thankfully, it did as she asked, and she gave an inaudible sigh of relief. Good thing she'd used the shallow bowl-shaped bearing blade base. That would buy her some time while she figured a way out of the fix she was in...

"Gogyou, Spiral Flame!"
Kei's dark blue blade began weaving and winding its way around the dish, narrowly avoiding getting hit by the more powerful Dranzer more than a few times. The brunette glanced up, locking gazes with her slate-haired opponent across the dish. His visage was unreadable; she couldn't tell what the phoenix blader was thinking.
Just a bit longer..., she thought, following her Beyblade's movements, waiting for the perfect opportunity. And then... NOW!
"Volcanic Strike!" On the command, Gogyou circled the dish once, and then charged up the slope and launched into the air At the apex of its trajectory, it turned, one of the 'blades' on the attack ring aimed at the dish at an angle.
At the same time, Dranzer was travelling upward; for those who looked close enough, flames were beginning to form at the leading edge of the blade.
"Looks like the two blades are on a collision course!" Takao yelled. He couldn't help it if he was pumped up. Even if the match was between two rookies, if each one went at it with a lot of spirit, just like the ones who'd made it to the 'top four' list, he got excited. All eyes seemed to be on the two blue blades, one a darker shade than the other, rushed headlong towards each other.
...all except Kai, that is. The slate-haired teen was watching his opponent, purple-eyeKei. She'd held up against him for nearly four minutes now. Not bad...for a rookie... he thought.
Then the blades slammed into each other. One dark blue blur hurtled back into the dish, and the other shot outwards and clattered to the floor. A quick glance at the blade still spinning told Kai what he already knew instinctively: Dranzer was not down for the count.
Across the dish, Kei knelt and retrieved her blade, then stood up. "Thank you for the match," she said to Kai, then turned and hopped off the platform, landing beside Yuuko.
"Well, I lost..." she said, without looking at her friend. "But that's to be expected; I mean, this is world-class bladers we're talking about..."
"Hey, you did good!" Yuuko replied, squeezing the brunette's shoulder. "You lasted the longest in your match; that's gotta be something, right?"
Kei turned towards the auburn-haired teen and gave a small smile. "Yeah... it's something, I guess..."
