I love Remus Lupin the most because he's caring, especially towards Harry, he's very kind, he's intelligent, he was the best DADA teacher has ever had because he does a lot of fun activities. biggrin He was probably the most responsible of the Maurauders (even the others are funny when they're mischevious biggrin ) and he's umm.......cool. lol.

Ooh, I'm going to rock the boat.
Let me preface my remarks with saying that I write Marauder fanfiction and so have made myself open up my viewpoint to all of the Marauders.
Yes. ALL. Including Peter. He wasn't so bad while he was at school. In fact, he was incredibly funny. Honestly, does anyone else see that people like James and Sirius and Remus wouldn't put up with the slimeball he ended transforming into?
I love James for trying to woo Lily over and over until he won her heart. And for the marvelous pranks in between tries.
I love Sirius for being the wonderfully cool rebellious Marauder, and oh so handsome too.
I love Remus for trying to be the voice of reason while still finding out his friends accept him, furry little problem and all. (Love James for that phrase, and the subsequent rumor--wonderful!)
I love Peter, at least while he was at school, for having the courage to stick to his friends, even when it was obvious he didn't fit in with them.
James got two points, so I love him most. Otherwise, I can't decide!
But Peter. . . Well, at least young Peter, deserves more of a chance to be lovable than he got. Check out my bio on fanfiction.net if you can agree with that much. I have gotten people to love Peter through my Cat, Rat and Dog story, which is canon for as much Jo's given us.
Give Peter some credit. He was a Marauder after all. There had to be a good reason. Yay for Marauders!

I like Remus and Sirius, with James coming in second. I base this on the fanfiction I read. It would be great if JKR would write a book series when the marauders where in Hogwarts. Actually get to know the characters better.

[-Devon Teh Typo Queen-] List you favorite Marauder and why you like them Lupin cause he is smart and kinda hawt in the movies. *Clamps hands over her mouth* LOL. I agree that he was kinda cute wink Lupin is my favorite character of the series. He was so cool and genuinely nice. He tried really hard to help Harry out without being selfish or crazy (like sirius).

Sirius has always been my favorite, even when we thought he was a bad guy. I liked him and spent all of PoA thinking that something wasn't right with the story that Snuffles killed all those people. And I felt bad that he wanted to help so bad and couldn't.

Hmm. Here's my opinion on all of them...
Sirius and Remus are tied for first.
Sirius- I love his pranks with James, to be honest with you. But I do think, out of the two of them, he was the sweeter, more laid back one. James was more the bully. But I do love that he cares about Harry so much as he got older. I mean, the guy's been through so much in his life, and now he's passing his wisdom on to Harry. I love that guy. And for all you people that are saying he's not hot in the movie, you need to have your eyes checked. Gary Oldman may not be hot in real life, but as Sirius, I think he's so very handsome heart . If I was one to cry during movies, I would've bawled my eyes out when he died. I think it's kind of weird to watch the movies when you KNOW he's gonna die in OoTP. I think he's what people would call a "true Gryffindor". He was very loyal, he said that he would've died rather than betray his friends. He was definitely brave, and he obviously has a sense of humor.
Remus- He's such a sweetheart, I have to say. I think he's a lot like me in a couple ways. He was more like the one that would blend into the background and spent most of his time reading, and never played pranks on poor Snape. I think we would get along very well, actually. He's always the one helping people when they need it. He seems to really care about people. And I have to say, his Defense Against the Dark Arts class was the best!
James is next...
James- He WAS a bully, there's no way around that. I think he was definitely the arrogant one in the group, and I think he did pass that on to Harry, just not on a grande scale. But, he was in Gryffindor for a reason, and I think that showed as he got older. He is very loyal, to say the least, and definitely brave. I do think, if he would've lived, he would've been an amazing father to Harry. I also think that he and Lily were very smart to make Sirius Harry's godfather. He couldn't ask for a better one!
Peter is like...way down on the list.
Peter- He's such a traitor and a bloody, spineless coward. If he really wanted to be on the good side, why didn't he fight Voldemort? Why didn't he die for his friends if he was truely loyal to them? I think that as a kid, he probably wasn't that bad, but we don't really know much about him, so I can't say he was ALWAYS a horrible person. But, as of now, I hate him with a burning passion.

I don't hate Peter, the marauder. I hate Wormtail, the Death Eater. And I hate that people distinguish between them like that, since Wormtail is a nickname he was given as a marauder. I think that he should be Wormtail the marauder, and Peter the Death Eater, but because Voldemort called him Wormtail, everyone calls him that when they are talking about the Death Eater.
Peter, I like. Because I think that he was good kid, really. He just wasn't ever put in a situation in school that taught him to be brave. Because he was friends with James and Sirius, he never had to defend himself because his friends could do it for him. When Voldemort threatened him, he hadn't had any experience standing up for himself, so he caved. It was just another example of a strong personality corrupting a weak personality. Just like Zack and 'The Master' aka 'Gormagon' on Bones. *cough* Join Dueling Club at the Haven *cough*
