mrgreen As the Hippie Chic of the Watumelon Gang, I would like to welcome you to the Garden of Gwee and invite you to discuss the perplexities of life. While remaining to be the peace & love promoter that you have come to know, I have also been described as being a realist whom finds solace in meditations and the teachings of Buddhism (as a way of life, not a religion).
heart Philosophy as defined by Wikipedia is the discipline concerned with questions of how one should live (ethics); what sorts of things exist and what are their essential natures(metaphysics); what counts as genuine knowledge (epistemology); and what are the correct principles of reasoning (logic).
arrow Since any discussions concerning philosophy can be considered controversial, discussions shall remain light-hearted and in no way should be the sole basis for any decisions in real life.
arrow To enhance the whimsical environment of this sub-forum, such topics such as astrology, tarot, numerology, auras, and palmistry may be discussed.

Nihilism is my way of life xd I'm a realist, because I believe that all people can find happiness and fulfillment, except, for some bizarre reason, myself.
But this sounds like my kind of topic biggrin I welcome debate. Apathy is our gretest foe, not hatred, so reactions (both positive and negative) are good.

We all have moments in our lives where we are happy and feel in harmony with the world around us. The hard part is to accept that bad things in life can and will happen. Appreciating that the bad is a natural part of life is supposed to make the good times sweeter. But I still find myself yearning for more out of life, like things should just be better; which according to Buddhism is what lead to more unhappiness for me.

My favorite philosophy is taoism. i like it because you just go with the flow and try to be as happy as you can. and find happiness in simplicity and nature.

I can totally relate to that!~ the more complicated and cluttered your life or mind gets, the more happiness seems to evade you.

yeah one of the most important beliefs of taoism is that the farther away you lead yourself from simplicity the worse your life gets. I try to stay simple too, but it's hard in a society that wants you to be smart, because that only Confuses things. and Confusion causes Struggle.
