This trilogy was very cool, especially since it's PS2 in a Wii/360/PS3 time. It had a very detailed Christian mythology, so it was hard to follow almost the entire time I was playing.

The character voices in Episode I were pretty awesome, so it was a great disappointment to have a different company produce the other two. The other big suck factor was the music. The London Philharmonic did the score for Episode I and Namco used the crappy lo-tech synth for the second and third games. I HATE that, especially since the LP did iconic music of Star Wars.

I liked the battle system on the first game much better, as it was more visually stunning and easy to understand. It's much like other RPGs (Final Fantasy rooted). The II/III system was "improved" yet I hated it and the battle were far too simple to beat and were much less satisfying.

Episode I gets a 10 for me, as I want to replay it and see how much I missed the first time I played.

Episode II gets like a 4, as I was so frustrated with it that I never actually finished the game. Episode III gets maybe a 6. The structure was too simplified in these 2 games. In EI, you could play a couple of different ways and it was way complex without many hints/help to keep you going. EII/III both had only one path and that was it. Everything was far too easy. It was in no way challenging.

Except for the final ES battle in III, I went through everything pretty quickly.

There is absolutely NO replay value for these 2.
