Ismet glanced in the direction she pointed, but didn't note anything wrong; some of the apartments were back in the woods, some in the main part, but from the gate they were mostly in the same general direction. Elisa would have to be very clever to get one over Ismet on locations in the compound - he had grown up here, afterall.
Well. Not that she hadn't of course, but he was older.
Noting her look, and the way her back had thrown her forward, Ismet sighed.
"Alright..."
Without any prompting however (despite his obvious reluctance: call him many things, but a knight in shining armor he was not), he took her bag.
Not like it was all that big for him, anyway.

Clapping her hands some more, Elisa happily danced a little circle around Ismet. Despite his allegiance to Grand Mama, this Ismet wasn't half bad. He certainly knew how to treat a lady. He just needed a little push in the right direction. A little hint. You know, if you see a heavy bag, the boy should instantly offer to carry it.
Oh well...Maybe he could be her project one day? She'd teach him to be a real gentleman, but...he worked for Grand Mama. That may get in the way...Phooey. It really was a pity that he worked for the evil one.
"Yes. Yes~! We go this way~!" She declared triumphantly, marching down the path towards the woods.
The woods would be a great place to start. There were buildings back there. Who knew how far those woods actually went. Elisa could say she lived far far back. Yeah. That would work.
Though, we would never live that far deep in the woods. It was dirty. The gardens really was the perfect place.

Ismet eyed the happy toddler balefully, wondering when she'd gotten so happy. Maybe she just thought he'd be able to convince her guardians that she shouldn't have to visit 'Grand Mama' again.
"...You're cheerful."
Meh. Well, if she was happy, at least he didn't have to risk getting bruised.
So she lived back in the woods? Well, that would explain why he hadn't seen her before (excluding his antisocial tendencies); all of the mages lived - well, except for Ahneta - in the main two buildings. And even Ahneta lived in the first building off the main area.
He hadn't actually been back towards the others too often - he'd been a few times, but not enough to be completely positive of where everything was.
He needed to go back and check out those ruins, one of these days...they had looked interesting. The compound had been there before the mages had bought it, after all - although only a few buildings had existed then, judging by that old plan of the compound he'd found in the office files.

Quickly turning around to face Ismet, Elisa placed her index finger to her lips. Whoops. Was she showing her true intentions now? That wasn't good. That could ruin everything. He could realize she was lying and leading them on a wild goose chase. Then he could drag her off to Grand Mama, and Elisa was not going to let that happen.
She had to think fast and thinking wasn't her strong suit. It took too much work and hurt her head. She should get other people to think for her, but today, Elisa had to think for herself. Her cheeks were on the line. She refused to get lipstick on them today or any other day!
"Oh..." Elisa began, her eyes darting left and right. "Elisa is just happy that you tell mummy about not seeing Grand Mama. Yes! Elisa happy about that!"
That seemed good. Why else would she be happy. He couldn't know the real reason, and this one seemed suffice enough.
But there was something else too...
"And Ismet carries Elisa's bag~!" She chimed. Yes. Elisa liked it when boys were nice and did stuff for her. It made her happy.
There she was fully covered now.
"Okay! This way!" She continued to skipped down the path into the woods.

If Ismet had been paying any more attention, he would have realized that the little girl was acting very suspicious. The whole eye-darting thing kind of gave it away. But, lulled into thinking that she was pleased with his negotiations, he didn't even notice anything wrong with her tone.
All he thought, was that this was the typical toddler: easily swayed, annoying, and not much thought process.
With a sigh, he shifted the bag around and took off his jacket; it was chilly, but he wanted out of it.
So, without any thought for where she might be leading him (if it wasn't her apartment), he followed silently. The grouchy snake was just getting grouchier.

Good. This Ismet continued to follow and didn't seem suspicious in any way. That was good. Maybe Elisa really was a mastermind after all. She did frequently outsmart Icky, but who couldn't? Honestly. He really was dense when it came to certain things, which was why he was so much fun to play with. As much as she hated to admit it, Icky really did do things to make Elisa happy. That...or he just did them, so he wouldn't have to hear her whining. Either way, Icky always aimed to please Elisa. Of course he did.
And Elisa always looked for a reason that would make him aim to please her. Like, mummy didn't know you brought such-and-such over and did such-and-such right in front of Elisa.
Now...mummy wouldn't like that.
Elisa was too smart for her own good.
But still, Elisa was still a little worried that this Ismet would figure her out. Hopefully he knew as much as she did about where they were going.
"Where you live, Ismet? ...'round here?" There. That was discreet enough, right?

"My guardians are the mages."
Which was a tad unusual, Ismet supposed; he'd essentially been jointly raised by three different people, in three different homes, with three very different styles of parenting. It was an experience, to say the least.
"They each live in a different building," glancing at the surroundings, he gave a shrug. "But none of them live back here...they live in the buildings in the main areas."
Although he lived with Hadrian or Ahneta the most - he avoided living with Dacian when possible. The man was too annoying to live with.
Ah, Ismet...he really needed to learn to stop underestimating toddlers; he simply didn't think Elisa could have any ulterior motives, for the sake of her age. Perhaps this was age-discrimination?
He'd learn the truth, soon enough.

Excellent. Things were working out better and better every second! Now Elisa didn't have to worry about this Ismet knowing where they were going. She could just blindly lead them wherever she wanted. Good. Good. Good.
And if this Ismet starts to get suspicious and wondering if she's leading them nowhere, Elisa can just say that went off in the wrong direction. Forests and trees are really hard to navigate in. Everything looks and the same, so it's not hard to lose your way.
Though, this was her home. She "should" know where she was going, at least in the slightest. Oh well. She'll think of something if she has to cross that bridge.
"So Ismet has three homes," Elisa mused out loud. That actually sounded kind of fun. Three sets of toys. Three sets clothes. Three sets of...well...everything. Yea. That sounded very nice. One would never have too many things, and he lived with the mages no less. Elisa never met any of them directly, but it still seemed fun. She bet Ismet loved living with them. He probably had a lot of fun~!
"You like?"
Elisa honestly didn't care if he liked it or not. She was just trying to make conversation and be nice, but talking also took her mind off the fleeting sunlight that slowly began to creep away as she lead them deeper into the woods.

Three homes? Yes, Ismet supposed that was true. They were three places he lived, at least...although it wasn't quite like Elisa imagined; he had never particularly cared about toys, or clothes - he liked books, but he just kept those in that little library in the school building.
"..I guess."
It worked out well enough. He didn't have to deal with any one of the mages for too long; they all had ways about them that bothered him, although he could handle them easier then other people. Dacian was just flat out annoying and cheerful, Hadrian was always too grumpy (he was one to talk), and Ahneta always had people over. When he stayed with her, half of the time, he was told to 'go play outside'.
Ha.
"There are good and bad things about it."
Ismet could get time to himself by convincing them he was with the others, punishments for being disobedient or rude never lasted more then a few days (as the mages really didn't communicate so well with each other, and he didn't have to stay with them when he got sick of them.
"I can go wherever I please, which is nice."

Elisa nodded her head in agreement. She could understand that. For the most part, Ivan always let her do and go where she wanted when he watched her. For the most part. You see, there were two types of Ivan watching. One, he didn't care what she did as long as she didn't bother him. He would at times just open the door, and let her do what she wanted. She liked that, but then there was the Ivan that was always around her. It was almost suffocating. This is when Elisa had fun with Icky.
This attachable from detachable Ivan usually came from the result from a fight with Evie.
"What so bad about having three mummies and daddies?" Elisa inquired. This Ismet had mentioned there was so bad involved, but all Elisa could see was the positives. Three of everything and being able to go where you please? Sign Elisa up for that. If this Ismet didn't want it, Elisa would gladly trade with him. Then he could have his beloved Grand Mama.
Oh!
Maybe they could trade! That would be wonderful! Though, she would miss Evie, but this lifestyle sounded so much fun! Elisa could stop by and say hi once and awhile, but who knows how she would occupy her time. What was even better, Elisa wouldn't have to deal with Grand Mama!

"Two fathers, one mother," Ismet corrected absentmindedly. He didn't even think of any of them in terms of parents, but he supposed he had to make it understandable for a toddler. It was strange...well, he was strange. Most kids would consider their guardians more as parental figures then he did.
Of course, most kids also weren't raised with the knowledge that they'd been created in a lab to continue on their guardian's people. His people. They'd been so nervous, when he was a toddler - unsure if everything would go alright.
"They all have different opinions on how I should act."
Manners, helping out with work, rules...it got irritating trying to keep them straight. It'd help if they all had the same idea of how to raise a child - but no, each one had different opinions on that.
"Think...being told you could go do what you want, by one guardian, and then another guardian is too paranoid to let you leave the apartment alone."
Well. It wasn't quite that bad, but it was sometimes like that. He fully intended on getting his own apartment as a teenager - he was self sufficient! He'd, well...he'd have to learn how to cook, but he could do it! And it wasn't like he'd have to worry about rent...

Elisa nodded her head as if agreeing somehow. She could relate in a way. Despite her objections to the whole idea of Ivan, he could count as a substitute guardian in way, even if he was her uncle. He lived with them, so Elisa was constantly exposed to him. He even watched her when Evie went to work and school, seeing as Ivan was just a freeloader, who just lazed about the house. Watching Elisa was the least he could do.
Elisa could understand a guardian being free with their parenting and letting the them do what they want. That was Ivan. He was lazy and never wanted to play with Elisa. Not that she really wanted to play with him. It was just fun to watch him play with the dolls or drinking tea out of tiny pink tea cups. Ivan generally let her do what she wanted, which was nice.
Evie, on the other hand, was very overprotective of Elisa. She willingly played with Elisa and was just fun. Though, she never let Elisa go off by herself. Now...that wasn't fun.
That...and she took her to Grand Mama.
"No. No. Elisa understands," Elisa said absently looking around. Did she just pass that rock? Oh well... "Mummy and Icky are like that too..."

Ismet's thoughts on his guardians came to halt when he - like Elisa - thought he recognized the surroundings. And, being unaware of her plans, thought they might be lost. Not intentionally, of course.
"...do you know where you're going?"
He was trusting a toddler to lead them to her home. How many toddlers actually knew that kind of thing?
He should have just brought her to Dacian...
Ismet was feeling stupid, but he'd feel even more stupid if he realized Elisa had planned it all. Outsmarted by a toddler...talk about bashing the ego.

Waving Ismet off, Elisa refused to look at him directly since her own head was spinning in all directions. Where exactly did she lead them? She didn't have the faintest clue, and that wasn't a good sign. Now how was she supposed to get out of here? Forget Ismet and Grand Mama. She got herself lost.
This was horrible...
"Of course Elisa knows where she's going," she replied shakily. This Ismet couldn't know they were lost. Then something bad might happen. Like yelling...Elisa hated being yelled at.
Worse. This Ismet would take her to Grand Mama when they finally managed to find their way.
Oh no!
Thinking fast, Elisa pointed deeper in the forest. "Yes. We almost there."

The snake boy let his eyes drift on their surroundings, taking in the fact that he couldn't really see much of a path, and it was beginning to get dark. Much longer, they wouldn't be able to find their way anywhere; but at the moment, it was simply twilight.
"Really."
Blandly spoken, anyone who knew Ismet would realize that he was becoming suspicious. At the very least, he was suspicious that she had no idea where they were.
Even though Ismet wouldn't exactly be taking Elisa to her Grand Mama, there would still be something else she apparently wanted to avoid: lots and lots of yelling.
Folding his arms across his chest, he settled his eyes on the little girl.
"If we don't arrive in the next few minutes, I'm taking you to Dacian."
Never mind that he'd have to find Dacian first. He'd figure it out. He was stupid enough to let himself become lost by following a toddler's directions - he had to make up for that somehow.
