Do you ever associated a certain song with a book? Maybe an entire CD or genre even?
I'm just wondering since whenever I listen to the Killers' CD, Sam's Town, I think of The Relic by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child since I read the book right about the time I got the CD so I pretty much listened to that CD the entire time I was reading The Relic.
Or maybe you associate and song or CD to an entire seires. Like when I started reading the sequel to The Relic, The Reliquary, it didn't seem right when I read it while listening to anything but the Killers so I popped in the CD and everything seemed to fall into place.
I'm just one who has to listen to music while I read otherwise it's just too quiet but I guess there are other ways the association between book and song can take place.

The only thing that comes to mind is when I was reading Ira Levin's Son of Rosemary years ago. I had my soundtrack to The General's Daughter playing in the background so I associate the track "O Fortuna" to the scene in the book where Rosemary finds her son crucified. It seemed so fitting.

"Comfortably Numb" by Pink Floyd reminds me of Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky.
