"The Many-Worlds Interpretation (MWI) is an approach to quantum mechanics according to which, in addition to the world we are aware of directly, there are many other similar worlds which exist in parallel at the same space and time. The existence of the other worlds makes it possible to remove randomness and action at a distance from quantum theory and thus from all physics."

Source.

Just started checking into this so I found this intriguing.

Whats your opinions and thoughts on this?

You mean like there's more worlds with the same earth-like conditions and with a lot of living beings? sweatdrop

So it's like an alternate universe?

Yep! Alternate universes... well we'd have to call our "universe" a multiverse, then I guess. Intersting thought. Everyone's dead on some other alternate world. xD

So that means "i" could be living a whole other life in another universe! Cool, yet weird... pirate

So if this "multiverse" idea is correct somehow...

does that mean we are all immortal?

(We would survive in some other universe as all things that could happen are explored through these multiverses)

If true...then that'd be great...except I'd want to live in this universe forever...-_-;

From what I understand, our multiple selves would still not be immortal. Think about it. What organsism is actually immortal? Instead, we would have selves that made a different choice at some point in our lives. Also, there may be a world where the Axis Powers won WWI rather than the Allies, and etc.

Anything is possible.
Perhaps we traverse onto other forms of being like suspended animation or something similar. I didn't mean immortal organic life since that simply would not make sense. Everything has to go eventually~

However it is interesting to think about events like WWII and assassinations of various people.
