It was Jorja Fox's decision to leave. She may be back later on in the season. However ... and this is a big factor now ... it all depends on how long the WGA stay on strike for. If they strike too long ... no more scripts will be made and thus no new episodes which equals no possible Jorja sighting.

Kalie_Matrion do yall know if she is leaving because she is demanding more money? or is that just a rumor? I heart Jorja Fox and GSR Well she was looking for a bit of a raise. The whole situation though started back in 2004. The cast was given forms to sign stating they'd return to work on a certain day/time and Jorja believed that she had time to think it over. Her form arrived late and she was fired for it. George Eads was fired around the same time for showing up late. Both were rehired after William Petersen stepped in. When contract renewal came up later on Jorja held back because her feelings were still hurt from the fiasco earlier. Thus she was not making the same amount as say Gary or George and it meant her contract came up for review sooner. Over April of this year and continuing I guess until Season 7 ended ... Jorja and the producers were in negotiations. She agreed to come back for a certain amount of episodes for season 8. Now that time is up. Will she return as Carol Mendelsohn has stated ... it depends on the WGA strike now. I hoped that cleared up things Kalie.

I just realized that Grissom + Sara Romance (GSR) is the same initials as gun shot residue @_@;;... funky.
and I'm really sad that shes leaving D:

PurpIe Neko I just realized that Grissom + Sara Romance (GSR) is the same initials as gun shot residue @_@;;... funky. and I'm really sad that shes leaving D: Well yeah, it's a pun. Fans realized that they could make sense of that acronym. I hear that Sara Sidle WILL be coming back, but not this week and probably not next week. But she'll come back.

I use to like Sarah. Really I swear I did. But this season she has really annoyed me, she has become useless sweatdrop
It also could be that I am like the 10% of people who dislike the whole GSR thingy and for me Sarah leaving means no more of that stuff in canon (I can tolerate it in fanfiction)
So yeah, pretty much all the GSR people are going to hate me for saying that I am actually happy that she is leaving.
If they do write her back in, I hope they give back the balls she had in season one, two and three.

Ok, I've been hearing that Sara is coming back... but is she coming back for good? Or is she only coming back as a guest star? Or are they playing things by ear, regardless of the WGA strike (which needs to end soon, as many shows are about to run out of scripts)?
And I'm interested in hearing people's thoughts on Goodbye and Goodluck... Love it? Hate it? I thought it was done fairly decently... The kiss was AWESOME... personally wouldn't have done it in front of Hodges, but awesome nonetheless biggrin
