I like the older stuff and pretty much any rap that's not 'gangsta' rap. To me, the only great gangsta rappers were Ice T and the NWA. Anywho, a couple of my favorite rappers-
Run DMC
Beastie Boys
Ice T
Common (One of the few new MC's I can appreciate.)
Lupe Fiasco (Same as Common, although Lupe's a lot more artistic with his wording.)
Young MC (Even though I'm pretty sure he was just a one-hit wonder, that one hit was AMAZING. xD)
Sugarhill Gang (Sure, they weren't 'rappers' according to most people, but they DID bring the genre out into the open.)
