Dreaded week two is here. D: Have you guys hit the stump yet?

I'm procrastinating. Like, a lot. I re-did my profile, decked out my avatar, chatted it up on the NaNo forums, and now I'm posting here. Must... drag... butt... back... to... novel...

Any tricks for staying focused?

Found a nice little script for my firefox browser that blocks websites with a big "GET BACK TO WORK" when you turn it on. XD V. Helpful.

On the contrary, my NaNo is just getting to the good part!
When my family is all asleep, if I turned off my tv, close the internet, and turn on my ipod, I can churn out 2k in an hour. If that helps. :'D

I haven't written anything in 8 days.

I am beginning to think I won't finish again this year unless I seriously get my butt in gear.

I'm spending too much time knitting.

Work .. that too gets in my way!

Louis L'Amour wrote one of the best quotes I have ever read. (paraphrased--can't remember it exactly) "Writing is like a faucet and water. The water will not come out, unless you turn on the faucet. It is the same way with ideas. The words won't come until you start writing--turning on the faucet. Then the water--words--will come on their own."

So, you kinda have to do it.

My WriMo is still up in the air. I think my MC wants to get blind or something (I just finished Jane Eyre; don't shoot me).

ACK! I can't believe it's the 12th already! crying I am so bad at this (at least I'm a little better with my word count this year?) My brain is off by the time I get home from work, it's so hard to get motivated when I can barely remember how to microwave a burrito!
