I watch it because it brings back so many memories! I loved when we first saw the attic with the pictures of the Brigadier and Henry and seeing, of course, K-9! But, as a show? First it seems to be the place Doctor Who and Torchwood aliens go to die. I mean REALLY enough with the flippin Slitheen! And sadly to say it reminds me of Power Rangers. Not the story or anything but the way they frame the bad guys in the camera. You know, kind of side ways with bright colors on or behind them. That being said, it seems low budget like old Doctor Who so again there is nostalgia. I will keep watching it I mean come on it is part of Doctor Who!

I really like torchwood, not better than SJA, but I was really disappointed when *spoiler* they brought owen back from the dead, how are they going to explain things away like mysteriously healing body parts? So far it has worked but I've noticed them slip up once or twice... But overall it is an awesome show. Beside the potential for Doctor Who crossovers makes it worth watching.

I just watched the whole thing in one sitting, and I quite liked it. And though I agree that the Slitheen were annoying in Doctor Who, I think they worked for this series. Fart jokes work better when most of the main characters are kids.
The only thing I really didn't like was that the Slitheen were a lot less clever in SJA than they were in Doctor Who, which is a bit of a shame. They felt too much like "Oh, hehe, I'm a villain, I'm doing bad things, *snicker*".

I absolutely love SJA! I especially love that we're learning so many things about Sarah Jane that we never got the chance to in the old series - like that the incident on the pier with Andrea is why she has such a fear of heights or why she was brought up by her Aunt Lavinia. Mostly I love SJA because it's given her a way happier ending than we got after School Reunion; she isn't as lonely as she was and she's finally found a family, and she has people to fight for and people to love.
Also the epic Sarah Jane Wisdom Minute sections at the end of every episode always turn me into sentimental mush. "I learned a long time ago that, if you're missing somebody, just look up at the night sky. Whoever it is, wherever they are, chances are they're looking at the stars just like you. Sometimes for all its size the universe isn't such a big place after all." BAWWWWW crying

I love SJA. Much more lighthearted than the current series. Akin to some of the more original feel at times.

Well... this has to be the craziest Who-year in a long time. The Doc himself didnt do a series. Just the holiday specials leading to the end.
Torchwood handed us 5 eps in 5 nights and called it done for the year. (Great eppisodes... but come on!
Only Sarah Jane is going to give us a proper season. and the new format is perfect.
2 episodes a week, 2-part story arcs, makes you fel like yer getting a full hr long show each week. (Although it also means we get everything in like 6-8 weeks.)
Still... We get David half way in, just in time to say a fun farewell. We get more of the Trickster (who is proving to be a truly graet creation. (Was so happy when he got a mention on series 4 of Who, even if we didnt see him).
The show is for kids... but there ARE moments you forget that. Then a Slitheen farts and you are reminded (hehe). Yeah... Its not Torchwood. But I dont want another one of those. I like that you have the adult, the family and the kid versions. Each has a place in hy heart.

I've only seen the first series of SJA (and not all episode) but I've liked what I've seen.
I'm so happy that I didn't have to download it/see it on the internet (it's not that usual that Swedish television shows shows like this); One day I was zapping around on the tv and when I came to the children's channel I thought I recognised the actor and I did: It was Elisabeth Sladen and it was the SJA. I was really happy to discover that, sci-fi is rare on swedish television and brittish sci-fi is rarer.
