Arya rocked back on her heels slightly as the man stammered at her. He was certainly a nervous sort! "Wasn't any trouble," she reassured him cheerfully. After all, it wasn't like she'd had to chase down the paper. They'd conveniently come to her instead.
With the paper safely tucked away, Arya stretched her wings out to their full width before settling them back over her shoulders, ignorant of the blast of heat let out when she did so. Reaching down to take Ror's hand again, she finally noticed he'd taken a step closer to Leonard. "Hey, come on. I'm sure he's busy and we don't need to take up anymore of his time," she said, extending her arm forward to lightly rest it on the smaller child's shoulder.
Before Ror had a chance to dodge it, or to further explore what was trying to click in his head, a small, happily glowing light appeared, above and behind Leonard. It seemed to be calling to Ror, although Arya gasped and narrowed her eyes at it, dropping her arm back down.
Oh dear.

"Well, yes, um... well, goodbye, th--"
The musician was about to go on his merry way, never to see those strange children again so he could erase them from his memory and get on with his life. Unfortunately for him, however, some force of power beyond his understanding felt that this wasn't going to be how his day played out. That sudden little orb of light was getting in the way of his walking back to his car. It wasn't helping much how the darker-skinned boy was looking at him and said miniature sun with an expecting, strawberry gaze.
Ror's bare feet carried him closer to the thoroughly confused man, so far that he was close enough to tug on his pant leg and reach up at the tiny glow, as if he were hoping that Leonard would help him get it down from the air.

Anarya had her arms crossed and was, by and large, ignoring the light. One foot tapped impatiently, as if to insist that the whole ordeal be done and over with, as soon as possible.
Obliging both of the children, the light floated down within Ror's reach. It was warm and welcoming, friendly. It stayed just out of his reach until it was sure that Ror was touching Leonard, then darted down, directly into his hand. As soon as the Shattered had firm grasp of it, his vision went white. Not in pain, simply a very bright light that flared only for him. A sense of rightness washed over Ror, and he knew that this was what he was supposed to be doing. It was time to change, to grow beyond what he'd been before. With that thought, and a last gasp of air, the change began. Only a moment later it was done, someone radically different, yet the same, stood before Leonard and Arya.
"Oh my," the girl breathed out, taking a step backwards to admire the change. Reality came crashing back in as soon as she wondered what she was going to do with him now. Taking him home hadn't seemed right when he was younger, and that feeling didn't change after the growth spurt. So, what now?

Oh, what a very, very, absolutely strange and unnerving day.
Leonard knew that Gaia was an odd and infinitely diverse place, but it didn't necessarily mean that he could get used to it so easily. Being the man he was, there was naturally only one set of things he could do when the flare suddenly leapt into the boy's free hand and he started changing with the most blissful look on his face.
He panicked. Not as much as he could have, but he still let out a high-pitched scream and jerked away from the little boy... errr... school-age child? Nevertheless some bit of politeness that remained lodged in his mind gave him the thought that the kid would like to have some personal space while he suddenly aged about six or seven years. His arm tightened its grip on his flimsy folder of sheet music, not wanting his reactions to cost him more of his hard work. That had happened to him too many times already!
His change complete, Miro took a few moments to examine himself, adjusting his bowler hat that had mysteriously fell on his head out of nowhere and not seeming to mind that the lengths of candy-colored string on his body had become more tangled than before. All the dozens of little glass beads strung on them glinted with a strange happiness - except for one near his wrist that glowed warmly like an infinitesimal sun. This new body was nice. He didn't feel so disjointed and full of missing pieces anymore. There was only one thing left to take care of, and for that he turned to the nervous man and with an honest smile, said "Hi."
Leonard had a sudden and very powerful urge to take this boy home.
