I'm thinking about getting birth control pills but I hate taking pills is it okay to chew/break up the pill for easy swallowing? yes I know they are pretty small but I have a total fobia of choking.

No, that is not ok. You should never chew or break a pill that is meant to be swallowed unless your doctor tells you it is ok. If you cannot swallow pills, then do not get the traditional birth control pills. There are many other options. You can use condoms, the patch, the ring, or the chewable pill instead. Talk to your ob-gyn about your options.

But wouldn't the ring be uncomfortable? I mean, having to insert this elastic ring and it'll want to expand once it's in there. Eww!

Riku is my Twin But wouldn't the ring be uncomfortable? I mean, having to insert this elastic ring and it'll want to expand once it's in there. Eww! It's a ring made of soft silicone. Similar to those jelly bracelets that seemed to be a fashion statement a few years back. Once it is inside, it is less noticeable then a tampon. And that's saying something, because I sometimes forget I have a tampon in. x.x It will expand a little bit, but that is needed for it to sit up close by the cervix and not slip out of you.

They are really really small. I worried about that too, but honestly they are so tiny you can pretty much swallow them with minimum saliva. But you could always look into other BC options.
