A love deprivation
I've got a jet black heart
It's all ******** up and it's falling apart
Rayne let the kill go on, keeping silent despite the vampiress's curse. She bit her lip and twisted the knife, making sure the heart was completely destroyed before scooting out from under the corpse. She looked down at it, not the least bit remorseful as she tried to decide where to hide the body. She eyed the hallway completely and finding nothing picked the body up to carry it somewhere else.
I've got another confession
I fell to temptation
And there is no question
There was some connection

lllll As Rayne turned to leave she heard an applause. Behind her stood Jaguar. "Wonderful job, Rayne. Your skills have improved." He smiled at her proudly then eyed the blood on the ground. Hopefully, there wouldn't be any stains. "But I must remind you not to go around killing any vampire that gets on you or my nerve." He turned to a guard standing nearby, "burn this vampire's body. She is of no use to me," he motioned to the vampiress's limp body. "Now, Rayne. Why don't you go enjoy the rest of the day with some less violent activities." Although Jaguar kept a smile plastered on his face, it was obvious that he was not impressed by what Rayne had done. lllll

Rayne looked down and bit her lip. "Mater..." She did not raise her gaze, and fell back into her servantly posture as she handed over the body. "She killed one of your slaves, she was asking for it." She did not want to make excuses but it seemed the only was out of it. "Even though I may have provoked her, she attacked first. I was defensive not offensive."

lllll Jaguar stared at the guard for a moment until the guard quickly turned and left with the body. He turned his full attention back to Rayne. "Yes, but in the end who died?" he stared at the blood splotches on the ground, the smell of vampiric blood filled the air. "You could have called for me or a guard. Am I right?", he didn't wait for an answer and continued, "Now what am I going to do when every single vampire that walks through these halls asks me why the scent of their own kind's blood is in the air?" His calm eyes traveled over Rayne's body making sure she wasn't hurt then met with her eyes. "Next time, take some time to think about where you'll slaughter a vampire." lllll

Rayne looked sideways frustrated, it wasn't like he hadn't ever killed any vampire directly in front of another. But him covering for her was not something she would ask. "I'll take my beatings dutifully." Was all she said before turning and heading back down the hall. She rarely walked out on Jaguar but seeing him mad at her was not something she liked to stay around for.

lllll Jaguar's eyes followed Rayne until she was out of sight. He sighed and shook his head. He snapped his fingers in grab the attention of a nearby maid. "Clean this is," he pointed at the blood on the ground then looked back at the maid who had a question in her eyes. "Don't ask," he snapped. Jaguar turned and strolled to his office to finish his 'work'. lllll
