i love nokturnal mortum
everyone should get lunar poetry and goat horns.

they have a few more albums but i don't listen to all of the tracks from them like i do with goat horns and lunar poetry. some tracks sound a bit folkish.

what they sound like, you can search for more listings for different tracks

oh yeah they're associated with NSBM (national socialist black metal) but i can't even understand what their saying lol.

I was going to add them regarding my last post in Gorgoroth's smile

So, you are not into NSBM, I suppose? I'm not into any movement or ideology myself, although for some reason NS metal is quite good (the music, at least). Something to do with "hatred", perhaps?

A lot of Ukrainian bands that are similar in style with NM are quite good, also a lot of them are NS. 3nodding

Goat Horns and Weltanschauung are two very good albums.

only other ns bands i've heard of are graveland and absurd. graveland i didn't like at all and absurd had some pretty shitty music imo. oh yeah burzum too i guess, i liked his stuff as well.

Weltanschauung is a pretty good album but i tend to keep listening to the stuff i'm familiar with.

Graveland isn't an NS band. Rob Darken is NS but his band isn't. Burzum isn't NS either.

Which Absurd album did you listen to?

@ Lomedin: Good production isn't everything, if you're expecting good production then this sub-genre isn't for you.

I did not say good production is everything. But saying "true" BM must have a crap production is just stupid.
If a band does not have the budget, please, do not give me that shite about "underground" sound.
I respect the "bad" production so many BM albums have if the context is appropriated. You sometimes need that to create atmosphere.
As I also respect (and in some way prefer) an excellent production. I do not have a problem being able to distinguish every single instrument.

What shite about the underground? I barely even listen to "uberundergrovndvvearesofvkkkingkvlt* bands. ...Like Celestia... compared with Celestia Absurd doesn't have s**t production. 3nodding

I reckon listening to 1 or 2 Absurd albums with nice production.
But I'm not trying to compare.
My point is, you do not need to look for a bad production to make something underground and true. There are too many bands (especially beginners, of course) doing this. It works if you are a real artist. Otherwise, gonk
But, hell, I suppose it does not matter how good the production is if you are not able to play good music neutral

Goat Horns was a good album. I wish they mixed their guitars better though.

The music of Nokturnal Mortum is talented. I however disagree with National Socialism so I don't listen to them. I have heard songs but I don't support the idealogoy, therefore I don't support the band neutral Sorta my same view on UnBlack Metal.

If I like the sound I'll listen to the band. I don't care about their political views.. It's not that I'm going to convert or anything...

******** awesome band! To be honest I have only just started listening to black metal and this is the band that got me into the genre. Could possibly be because of the folky stuff they do
PostPosted: Sat Dec 13, 2008 4:23 pm

the music's pretty good, but i can't support anything associated with national socialism.

also, what's up with NSBM? black metal is about doing your own damn thing, and national socialism is about conforming, not thinking for yourself - taking part in a hivemind. the two should be mutually exclusive.
