At the moment I'm reading Montmorency by Eleanor Updale and The Science of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials by Mary and John Gribbin.

What are you currently reading?
What have you finished recently?
Opinions/Would you recommend any?

Now reading On Writing by Stephen King.

Both books previously mentioned were good. I really liked the one about His Dark Materials though.

Now reading The long hard road out of hell by Marilyn Manson.

Wow, Marilyn Manson wrote a book? Interesting...

Right now I'm reading The Ninja Handbook from AskaNinja.com. It's hilarious.. and it had pictures! whee

I just finished reading Battle Royale by.. Koushun Takami. This novel is intense. I read through some of the manga based on the book, but I'm not really enjoying that.. if you've got a choice between the book and the manga, go with the book (it's less expensive anyways.) The book's kind of similar to Lord of the Flies in that a group of younger people are stuck on an island with little hope of escape, and their evil goingons while on the island. The HUGE difference is that Battle Royale's set in an alternate reality where Japan is being controlled by a fascist dictator.. and the teenagers are forced to compete in a sick competition of survival.
It is insane, I totally reccomend reading (if you are able to stomach gore).

I'm reading Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond - summer reading. But when I finish I'm going to go back to Dry by Augusten Burroughs, maybe revisit House of the Eye, The Ear, and The Nose by Nancy Farmer if I can find it at the library.

I've almost finished Clive Barker's Imagica, and after that I'm going to read Anne Rice's Interview with a Vampire.
