So I'm sitting in class, and he starts to pass back out midterms. It was on Titus Andronicus and Romeo and Juliet. I only read Titus, thinking having read Romeo and Juilet 5 years ago I still knew enough.

I was wrong. Writing the test I was completely lost on the quote for Romoe and Juliet, so I handed it in, expecting to do badly. Not too badly, not badly.

So I get it back today and I look at the mark. "12+9=21".

WHAT THE ********?! 21?! That's bullshit! So I go and talk to the prof...

"Oh, that's out of 30. I do that on purpose for kicks."

Yeah. So I ended up getting a 70. Which is actually better than I expected, and even than i thought I would deserve. I did the math in my head and figured the best I could get was a 65, but I guess he liked my writing. I'm still shaking a few minutes later. I guess it's from the shock of being a nerd and thinking you got 21.

I'd screw with people too, I'd write all my grades out in elvish or some other made up false language that only the nerdyist of nerds would know...and then wouldn't explain myself.

I'm still shaken that someone would volunteer this information....you're actually in a class entirely devoted to Shakespeare? Why?

I need pairs of classes for electives, since I've taken English 100 I need to take another class. Gothic Literature wasn't available because the teacher left the school, so I had the choice of taking Shakespeare or Womens Literature.

You have a better chance of seeing lesbians doing stuff in Women's Literature.

Shakespear was a c***e.

It's just the kind of stuff that if you don't like it first, you'll probably never like it.

Good thing I don't have to take these kind of courses in french universities I guess...

I took a Shakespeare class in college and enjoyed it quite a bit, thank you very much. We also took two field trips up to Stanford, Ontario to see Shakespeare performed ("As You Like It" and "The Tempest" if anyone's interested). Teachers do make the difference, though... the two guys that taught my class were extremely passionate about classic lit and made it that much more interesting.

...and what is the uncensored form of the word "c***e"? confused
