"Eugh, nothing," he lied, forcing a smile. She had already said she didn't want to talk about it, so he wasn't going to make her. It was alright, the whirlpool was off the screen anyway. "So do you ever need any help around the project house?" he asked, changing the subject, "I'm usually free."

"I could use someone to help with the gardening and hand out flowerpots from time to time," said Shouko, considering the offer. "You know how big the gardens are. They're out of control."

"I can do that, I'm good at getting dirty," he laughed, "And I'm only going to be working Monday through Friday nights. Sometimes Saturday." It was a temporary thing, but he had gotten a job tending a hotel bar.

"I'll let you know once I figure out all that needs to be done," nodded Shouko. "Weeding and planting, I think, and there's some broken glass in the greenhouse."
She looked back at the screen. "Oh, awesome!" she exclaimed, watching two central characters run across a very narrow stretch of wood.

"I can handle that in a few days," he offered, "Might take a little longer to find a panel to replace the glass on the greenhouse." More because he wasn't sure how he would fix it in the first place. He had always been the one to break things, not so much to fix them.
