Quoted from one of the NaNo forums.
some of you may have heard of the NaNoWriMo Report Card. for those who haven't, now you have! smile
it's an amazing Excel spreadsheet that has been circulating for years, and was created by Erik Benson. it tracks everything for you. words written per day, hours spent writing for the month, average words for hour. it even tracks your morale! and everything is laid out for you on nifty charts, bar graphs and pie charts. I've used it every year I've done NaNo. and it's so much fun to watch as it computes your estimated completion date (and strive to make sure it lands somewhere before the end of the year *grin*).
here's the link to the Excel file. it's been updated for 2007.

Eh, that is a total guy-who's-good-at-math chart. *.* So many columns. I'd just get confused.
But it does look handy. If I ever figure it out, I'll be sure to use it. Hey! Maybe I'll sent it to my uncle. He likes those kinds of things.

This thing is genius! I love it!
It makes me motivated to write even just a little more each day...and watch that estimated finishing date get that much closer to the 30th!

Nothing so drastic. I found that Google Documents opens the Excel file. I don't have the pie chart or graph any more but the core functionality is still there. I can add the charts and graphs again but I don't really need those. Just the number crunching.
Google rawks! xd
