"Probably," Ulani nodded. She shifted Adonai on her hip and looked from Donovan to Cindy and back. "Well? All set then?" she asked.

Cindy nodded happily, "Yes, I'm ready," she smiled, "Thank you for helping me and teaching me."
This was useful stuff after all, and she hadn't the chance to learn like this in a long time.

"You're very welcome," Ulani smiled. "It was wonderful to have you here."
She turned back to Donovan. "We'll get started on the building of the ranch as soon as possible ... hopefully by the next time we see you, it will be at least close to complete. And you'll be sending someone you trust to be your overseers, I presume?"

"Ah..." Donovan blinked remembering as he reached into his bag and lugged out the sack from the last trip, and the stuff from this trip, "Yes, I'll find something."
Who was preferably immortal as well, which cut out all of his contacts and he wouldn't trust his contacts out anyhow.
"I should ask Elnara," he muttered, "But I'll try to come back as quickly as possible, but no promises."

"Ah, just put those here, against the house," Ulani nodded towards the porch. "We'll put it away later."
It wasn't as if there was anyone around who might try to take off with it. They hadn't had any gold since before they had left the Four Lands the first time, had never needed it, and she wondered if the children even had any idea of what money was about.
"We'll take care of everything from this end," she added with a reassuring smile. "Don't worry."

Donovan set the bags off to the side of the house for later, though he didn't know where the two would keep the damn things.
"Thanks," he murmured, "This will make things easlier."

"No trouble," Ulani assured him. "No trouble at all. We'll keep it hidden away, don't worry."
She set Adonai back on the ground, and he clung to her leg like a leech.
Ulani patted him on the head. "Say goodbye to Cindy," she told him softly. "She's going back home now."
Adonai blinked up at Ulani, then looked over at Cindy. Suddenly he dashed over to her and threw his arms around her waist and hugged her tightly. "Byebye," he pouted up at her.

Cindy smiled softly as she hugged Adonai back, "Bye... I'll try and come again."
Poor kid she thought to herself quietly, but she would try, even though he might be quite grown by then.

Donovan put a hand on Cindy's shoulder as he made a motion towards the direction of the portal.
"Let's go," he murmured.
Otherwise he knew how good byes when and they would be going on forever.

"Goodbye," Ulani smiled, waving, as Adonai ran back to her and hugged her leg again. He sniffled a bit and watched as Cindy and Donovan left, then put his hands up to his mother for her to pick him up. She did so, setting him high up on her shoulders so that he could see them a bit longer as they walked away.

Cindy waved as she went back with Donovan, turning around so she could see the hidden portal. It had been a wonderful trip, but even she missed home, her room and her siblings.

He gave a nod good bye, since he wasn't much one for waving. As Donovan ushered Cindy through the poral he was already making plans, seeing as there was a lot more to this than he had originally intended. Still, it was good to be back in business again.
