The female nodded despite his tone. Whether she was ignoring it or didn't even catch it, was unknown. "That's right." Tail flicked with pride, and the kylan finally slowed her trailing. Had she heard right? "Fairweather?" Pause. Then her maw twisted in a snicker, that soon turned into a jaw clenched chuckle. "That's quite some name you got there." So now she could quite her insult of Pinky...maybe. "So then Fair, where you heading?"

The name echoed in his head as she repeated it. Perhaps she didn't realize, but her attempts to stiffle her amusement didn't work very well. Or maybe it was because ears were strained back to catch her reaction. It was a trained reaction. Pride wouldn't allow him to admit it, but he absolutely hated his name and hated telling it to others. But he accepted it with a sigh, knowing that he could never forsake the name his long gone mother had given to him. "Wherever I feel like," he answered with a shrug. "I don't have a place in mind." Honestly, he was stuck on the fact that she'd called him 'Fair.' It was better than certain other ways his name had been shortened in the past.

"Nothing in mind, eh?" Tail swished boredly at her heels, head tilting at the other's back. Her muzzle crinkled softly, surprised to find her own thoughts led, well...nowhere. Bounding soon after the other, she let out a huff, watching her own breath form and curl in the air before fading from sight. "Sounds so dull." Almost as dul las the empty woods around them. But she'd rather be in monochromatic company, than no company at all.

"Hmph." Dull was good. Boring made life predictable. And honestly, he'd much rather be able to predict what was going to happen than be surprised and annoyed or hurt by it. Looking back to her as he walked, he watched the movements of her fuzzy outline before scoffing gently once more and returning his useless gaze to their path. "What would you rather do?" Seeing as she wasn't going to leave him alone now. "Do you have somewhere in mind that won't be so dull?" The question was careless. He didn't sound overly interested. Not that such a thing was unusual.

Eyes narrowed and Zukka cocked her head to the side when Fair glanced back. Did nothing annoy this kylan? His scoff was returned with a tongue stuck out, before the female smirked as he turned away. Too interesting and entertaining. And for a moment it seemed like his question would go ignored, before she finally decided to speak up. "What would you care? Mr. Monotone probably finds nothing fun." Her tails swished without concern as she kept bickering. "And so...I'd just rather follow you. Hmph." >3

Perhaps to swat her away, the male's tail flicked sharply out behind him. Flick, flick, swish. It began to slow, now merely swaying back and forth. "Nope, nothing at all," he answered. If nothing else, her 'Mr. Monotone' comment only made his voice dull further. He would've chalked it up to a subconscious reaction, though honestly, that wasn't quite the case. Follow-the-leader was moving out of the clearing now and into the trees at the other side. Fairweather's pace stayed the same, but his senses had to be reminded to work so he could talk and avoid running into something at the same time. "Whatever, do what you want," he mumbled as he maneuvered around a rather large tree in their path.
