What are some of the main things that interfere with you getting to or doing practices or performances?
The main thing for me is things like the SAT tests but sometimes other school related events that are mandatory such as class orientations, etc... sweatdrop xd Other than that, I never miss a practice or performance... biggrin

The main things that mess up performances is the fact that some people don't show up. I don't mean people who have a reasonable exuse(you know, like your test thing) I mean people who just don't want to come.

I usually miss practice or dont have practice because not enough people show up for them, or my mom tells me i'm grounded. for not making my bed or something stupid like that. it sucks.

Well, I haven't because I have the coolest teachers who are flexible, but it's usually the Drama people who have to miss practice because of their practices and performances.
Ad our BD gives us the year's calendar and each month's calendar, so we can easily schedule our lives around it. However, some idiots -coughjuniorsscough- have to take their sats on our upcoming parade in Atlanta, so they'll miss the parade. tsk tsk. lol.

what usually interrupts the practices is our Drill Team... GAWD I HATE THEM!!!! i mean they are supposed to be able to point their toes when they kick.. THEY DONT!! and their specialty is SUPPOSED to be high kicking.. I COULD PROBABLY DO BETTER IN MY UNIFORM!!! oh and they like to talk during practice so we have to wait until they shut up... so the last practice we did with them i yelled at them... i got sooo MAD!!

Hmm . . . . Well, not too much interferes with me coming to practice, except for when my great-grandmother passed away, and her funeral was right in the middle of practice. Winter Drumline finals, 2006/2007 season--I was so sick, I nearly passed out more than once before, during, and after the show. Not fun, but I still performed. The main thing that disrupts practice is people talking when they shouldn't, or when they take too long for breaks. The talking is what annoys me, though if my section can't put their phones away during Wind Ensemble, someone's getting hurt.

Our director gives us a schedule for the events of the year and has a policy that if someone wants us to perform, they have to give us two weeks notice so that we can get our schedules in order, so I don't usually miss practice, unless it's something really important, like last year, I had to miss two or three basketball games because my mom had class and I had to watch my little brother. This year so far I haven't missed anything, but next semester I might miss ome games, cause my mom is tstill taking classes.

This chick that I used to practice with...she just decided that she doesn't like flute anymore...like it's not cool enough for her. And this other chick...she quit a couple of years back and she's really popular but every now and then she's like "can I borrow your flute?" and she reallly misses it but she had to quit because she had too many extra curriculum activities or summin'...but she says that she really "misses the feel of it" and it's kinda sad...

Well, I was a total nerd/dork in school and my parents didn't love me enough (or weren't wealthy enough actually now that I think about it) to provide a car to me while I was there... so I never missed any practices/performances. But some things that interfered with the whole band as a group would be cars left in our "practice parking lot" after school was over. It was always funny to see everyone pushing cars out of our way when it was time to practice. XD

One thing that always seems to disrupt our rehearsals is we have a really ADD band and our school is right in an airplane path. We get 80 something airplanes flying over head during a 2 hour practice. And the entire band watches them.

A two ton trombone and a seven block walk home in a foot of snow wearing flats and a skirt...
Pretty self explanatory... Though sometimes without the flats or skirt...
