 Runa's gaze was distant as she faced out into the wide open reef. She supposed she shouldn't be suprised that Silver had never come back. She had been an annoying fry that was for sure but he had been so kind. But thinking about Silver brougth her back to thinking about her family. How long had it been since either of her mother's even glanced in her direction? How...did they just not care?

Twilight swam away from her family tanks, once again being free of eggs and/or fry to take care of. Not that she would do any less when they were grown. But how was it her fault if her eggs were given away to others, it was up to them to come and find her... not the opposite way around. She sighed, how she wished she could keep all the eggs she had, but then... there would be so many that went betaless because of her selfishness.

Runa blinked startled to see one of her mothers approuching. "Mot...Twilight? Is everything ok?" Runa could never remember her mother coming out to see any of her grown children. " Are my sisters alright? Is Lumina ok? " Something must have gone wrong! Oh please let her sisters be alright!

Hearing someone call out to her, she blinked and looked up to see another beta... Runa she believed... the sparkles through her off since all four of them had them. "Runa... you can call me Mother, Mom, Mommy, Mama... you don't have to call me by name." She said sweetly as she swam closer. "As for your sisters, Odette is fine. Don't know about Lumina or the other two because I haven't seen them since."

It felt weird and slightly wrong to call her mother when she had never really done much mothering. " I just have never seen you out here before...i was worried that someone might be hurt." She fluttered her fins unsure what to say to the female that was part of giving her life. "umm well it's good to see you..."

"Then perhaps you shouldn't automatically assume the worse. I always take swims when there's nothing to do back home." Twilight replied with a slight shrug. At Runa's words though, she quirked a brow. "Oh? It sure doesn't seem like that to me."

Runa flushed unhappily "Well sorry if I am not use to talking to you. You havn't exactly tried to see me Twilight, even thought I have spent my life since hatching right here on this reef. " He fluttered unhappily " complete strangers know me better than you, my own -mother-." She knew she was being rude but it stung that she had never tried to see her.

At her words, Twilight huffed and crossed her arms. "I don't see how that is my fault? Like I was supposed to know you were abandoned in some reef after I took your egg to my tanks that one time and your keeper took you back. Once you were given away, I lost any sense of where you were. Perhaps you should complain to your keeper for not telling my keeper where you were so I could visit? There was also nothing stopping you from coming to see me as well if you're so upset about this." She retorted, a bit steamed. "Plus, you're not the only egg I've had Runa. Then there's my family which is almost constantly growing, I have to help take care of any new fry that enter the tanks, so you can see that I am sometimes busy to go looking for every child my keeper gave to someone else!"
