Tutu had sat there silently, trying to absorb what was being said. Were these two somehow related...? But before she could ask the idea of a game had been proposed. "Oh, that sounds like fun....umm...but I don't know many so I'll let you guys pick." She grinned happily and prepared herself to learn a new game...since she doubted she would know whatever they picked.

Lin thought for a moment on what could be played, if she had her dolls she supposed they could have a tea party or something, she left them somewhere though. Probably back at her makeshift base or something.
"Well... we could play tag, but then we have to be careful," she replied.
Since the last time she did that it ended in a cracked skull, not hers of course. Lin always managed to avoid forms of injury.

"Tag sounds like fun," Idhril agreed cheerfully. "It's a good thing Celebor isn't here, though, he doesn't like tag very much."
She giggled, then looked at Tutu and explained, "Lin taught Celebor how to play tag one time at Mama and Uncle Triton's cafe, and two tables and a chair fell on him. He doesn't like playing anymore."
She paused, tapping her chin thoughtfully for a moment, then added, "Not tag, anyways. He likes playing other games."

Tutu nodded and giggled at Idhril's story. It seemed like these two were very close and Tutu wasn't sure if that made her feel more like an outsider or if them playing with her made her feel like she had friends. Shaking off that thought she suddenly realized that she had no idea what the girls were talking about. Blushing, she looked down at her hands. "Umm...it sounds like a lot of fun...but...umm...how do you play exactly?"

"It's easy!" Idhril beamed. "Someone's it, and they try to catch everyone else! Only you have to try not be caught. And you can run and you can try to hide but sometimes if you hide it's not good because then you're not moving and you can't see if the person who's it is coming to get you or not."
She put her hands behind her back as if she had just finished reciting something important and smiled brightly. Suddenly her gaze turned thoughtful, and a moment later she added, "But you have to be careful when you run ... you have to try not to trip over things or run into things, because it hurts sometimes when you fall down."

"If you catch or touch that person, you've tagged them," Lin added, "And then they become it, and then you have to run too."
One couldn't forget that part, otherwise what was the point of catching a person. Though she usppoed then they could both be it and go after the person who was not it, which was another way of playing it.

Tutu listened carefully, nodding as a thoughtful expression came over her face. "So...one person tries to catch the other two...and when they do, then that person is...'it'...and it's their turn to chase the others. But...you don't want to be...'it'...right?" Her brow furrowed slightly. What was the fun of running away all the time? Wouldn't you want to be it? Shrugging off those thoughts she nodded and smiled. "Okay...I think I've got it. So....who's it?"

Idhril giggled and reached out and poked Lin's leg. "Lin's it!" she hollered; and then she lifted the hem of her long dress and started running away.
"Can't get me!" she taunted her aunt over her shoulder.
It had been a very long time since she had had the chance to play tag with Lin, and even longer since she'd played with someone to whom she wasn't related, and she was having fun already.
"Run, Tutu, run!" she urged her new friend.

Lin laughed at that as she sat there grinning at Tutu like she was prey, "Go ahead, I'll catch up."
She said so in a way that she didn't doubt she could at least gain a fair distance, but Lin was a very active child by nature. She had quick legs, for someone who was the size of a doll like all Surprises.

Tutu's eyes had gone wide and she blushed when Lin offered her a head start. Standing up gracefully, she bowed and ran off...almost dancing and leaping away, at a fair pace. She soon realized that she was heading in about the same direction as Idhril. "This is fun!" She called in between her giggles before ducking behind a tree and peeking out to watch for Lin.

Lin jumped off the rock she was sitting on and into the grass as she ran through it. Every once in a while taking a leaping jump to gain more ground as she grinned.
"I can see you both!" she laughed.

"That doesn't mean you can catch us!" Idhril taunted back with a laugh, lifting her skirt even higher so that she could run faster. She was taller than most surprise stage Seconds, thanks to being elfish, and that meant she had a little bit longer legs and a somewhat longer stride. Still, her skirt slowed her down somewhat as she ran off into the trees.

((sorry for the uber delay...been very busy))
Tutu laughed and moved from tree to tree with graceful leaps as she kept looking over her shoulder to make sure Lin wasn't gaining on her. This game really was fun, but it was making new friends that really had her smiling. She hadn't really met many others like herself, never mind ones that were about the same age and height! Stopping for a moment, she peeked around a tree and looked for the other two....but saw nothing. Blinking, she turned around a few times and scratched her head. She could hear them, they were close, but she couldn't see them....this could be bad if Lin was nearby.

Certainly running made it harder (though it was a lot fairer for Lin since she was playing with people her own size). She ducked into a bush and peered out trying to catch a glimpse of either Tutu or Idhril. She grinned when she caught a flash of pink. Crouching low, she crept towards the pink (which she assumed to be Tutu) think. Holding out her hands as if to pounch and grab the person or think within her sights.
