Earendil laughed. "No, just from my bedroom," he assured her. Granted, it was four floors, but still. "Now hold still," he instructed, holding her hands steady in his own.

He began to sing softly, his words silent, manifesting as a blue light that seemed almost to evaporate from his hands, twisting together above Lin's upturned palms and solidifying in the shape of a flower - this time a morning glory.

He grinned at her. "There, your next compass," he told her cheerfully.


Atalya returned Elnara's hug, then turned to Lore and smiled widely. "You will take care of my granddaughter, won't you?" she murmured softly. "I know she is depending on you, perhaps more than even she knows."

Lore could not help but blush as well, but he nodded at Atalya's words.

"I will..." he promised.

After all how could he not make a proimse like that. He wondered though who was embarassed more her or him. Probably her from the looks of it.

Atalya smiled softly, then put one hand on Lore's shoulder and her other hand on Elnara's arm.

"Well," she murmured, "please ... do not wait too long to come again. I shall look forward to seeing the both of you. As well as the children," she added with a soft laugh.


Earendil grinned and poked the tip of Lin's nose. "Be good," he winked at her. "Have lots of adventures, so you can tell me all about them the next time you come, eh?"

Lore smiled and nodded at that, "Yes, we should be heading back now."

Even though there was no rush really, but still, they should. He turned to Serenity and nodded.

"Lead the way then."

Earendil chuckled and straightened again. "Of course," he agreed. "Now go on, the others will be waiting for you."

And he stood with his greatgrandmother and waved as they others headed out into the labyrinth.

"I'm coming!" Lin yelled back as she ran off to catch up with the others.

Not before however catching a quick glance behind her and waving. She so wanted to come back here, come back.
