Chickens are some of the dumbest animals on the planet... But that doesn't mean they should be tortured.
I got mixed feelings about mass slaughter of food animals, and not because I live in Kentucky.
I feel if you're going to kill something so it can feed you, you should show some respect to it. That respect is missing in the modern world.

Quote: I feel if you're going to kill something so it can feed you, you should show some respect to it. That respect is missing in the modern world. Agreed. I dunno, some people may pray to some form of God before they eat a meal...I 'pray' to the animal and thank it for its sacrifice. I pin that on my heritage, though. whee

: / Threads like these make me quite upset.
I mean. When I raise animals for food I don't beat them or cause any unneccesary harm. There's no need.
I'm really iffy on this subject.
Especially since my friends won't eat anything they've met. I don't understand and I think it's ridiculous.

Sorry, but I don't buy into anti-meat propaganda. I understand people have a choice not to eat meat, but it really bothers me when bleeding-heart anti-meat brigades trawl the world for any instance of cruelty to try and make others behave like they do.

8Bit Jack Oh, you don't need to tell me that to keep me away from KFC. Their popcorn chicken? Like, $5 for 3 oz. Bullshit. Which would be a bargain here in England. I promise you.

I do too.. I just wouldn't eat at a crap shack like kfc.. I don't like synthetic or processed foods.. some s**t that even micro organisms wouldn't eat because they don't recognize it as food.. Although they would still eat kfc... and then get diarrhea.. lol..
I'd rather kill an animal that has lived out in the open than eat one that's been in a cage, pumped full of hormones, sick, etc... it's whole life. At least for my own selfish reasons.. I think it's better, plus I don't like supporting corporations that don't give a fack about much but greed.
Why buy potato chips when I can buy two bags of potatoes for the same price... And not get cellulite and over salted.. processed... rant.. mrgreen All the things that kill peoples taste-buds.. ramble ramble hippie!
