In there Prime Orochimaru versus the 4th hokage Minato Namikaze
ok and to show you that they are indeed on a level playing ground they both have no propper planning and and only a limited amount of supply's such as only a hand full of seals and on top of that they both are not aloud to use the summoning jutsu to summon Gamabunta or Manda..
ok your thoughts...

I'm way behind in Naruto, have we seen Yodaime actualy, ya know, do anything yet?

we have seen at least a peek and his name is Minota Namikaze and he is indeed narutos father, he used mostly wind based jutsu and has excellent taijutsu and throwing skills with his kunai and seals.

Except for the little fragments of legend, we don't really know enough about Yondaime to really judge his potential. We know he has abilities that allow him to instantaneously move from one spot to directly behind his enemy in a blur, thus he was named the Yellow Blur. And we know that he invented the God of Death Technique and Rasengan.
But other than that, we really don't know Yondiame's full capability.
Hell, we don't even know Orochimaru's full capability. The only time we ever see Orochimaru in action at his top is when he's fighting the Fourth Hokage. And even then, he spent most of the time sitting back, letting the previous hokages fight for him.
