Chobits - First Post

My View on the Anime: Chobits I think was a very good Anime. I watched it and thought it was very cute. Although my only problem with the series was that it had been to short. It seems like they cut of the Anime where they should have added about 48 more episodes. Some of the episodes in the Anime aren't so great. And some parts of the Anime are repetitive.

What the Anime is about: This Computer is found by a farmer. He had just left his country town and came into the City. He had very little knowledge about computers. He was starting a prep-school for college and someone in his class lived in the same Apartment complex as him. So, he helped him learn about the computer. The computer is a girl, she can walk talk and make some decisions on her own. Though out the anime it is about his experiences with teaching her new things. The main character is a pervert and is very embarrassed around women. It makes for a very cute anime. Love start to affect how the characters think and develop. It is still a very nice Anime to watch and it's worth owning.

My Rating: 8/10

My personal opinion on the anime is all that can be -truthfully- expressed here, since I can't really know what other people are thinking. Some love it. Some hate it. Some just complain too much and don't really even know what they like. It has been compared to Dragonball Z countless times ... Why? Perhaps because it is based around fighting. Perhaps because it has tournaments. Does it really have much in common with Dragonball Z? In my opinion, not really. Dragonball Z was plotless. It was merely beat up the bad guys one at a time with repeating animations that lasted 30 episodes. There wasn't any strategy in the combat. In Naruto, however, the opposite can be said. The story of a young boy with a big dream, combat strategies which rely on teamwork and skills, and fresh animations that do not repeat make Naruto an obviously superior viewing pleasure. The characters in Naruto are all well developed. They each have their own style, techniques, personalities, and backstories. The three main characters are Uzumaki Naruto, a boy who has been an outcast all his life because he unknowingly had a demon sealed within him and now seeks to surpass all the previous Hokage of his village so that people will respect him, Uchiha Sasuke, whose entire clan was slaughtered and now seeks revenge, and Haruno Sakura, the know-it-all girl who is in a rivalry with her former best friend for the love of Sasuke. Some complain about the flashbacks and "filler" episodes... But I say that the good things about this show greatly overcome the drawbacks. My own biased rating for this show would be a 10/10 just for how entertaining it is. A less biased rating would probably be an 8/10 based on opinions of others. A Naruto-hater's rating would probably be around a 3 for no reason completely obvious to me other than they don't like anything that other people seem to like. (Although they can feel free to correct me if they have an elaborate explaination.)

My final rating: Excellent, but watch it for yourself and make your own decision.
