This thread is going to compare the things in the Smallville TV series with similar plot lines and stories in the Superman/Smallville comics or even other Superman TV shows/cartoons. 3nodding

First on my list... What is up with the character Mxyzptlk!? In the comics/cartoons, he was an other-dementional being with supernatural "magic" like powers who "had it in" for Superman and would put him through many seemingly annoying and mundane tasks... In the Smallville series, he was some poser telekinetic! Whats up with that!? Maybe he just took on the name Mxyzptlk, and later the real Mxyzptlk will show up?
What do you think? 3nodding

2nd on my list...
The Flash (Bart Allen from episode #405 Run) and Superman are not supposed to meet that way.
But I am glad they stayed true to Flash's personality. (It's funny how in the show Clark doesn't follow Flash across the water cause he doesn't think he can run on water, but he could have, since he's just as fast -maybe even faster- than Flash.) I also liked how in the show they showed Flash and Superman racing eachother (they do it all the time in their time off in the comics and cartoon show ^_^.)

I don't really have anything to say on Myzl...whatever...(LOL, I can never remember all the letters) I guess Smallville just wasn't ready for a fifth dimensional prankster.
But There have been three different Flashes, Jay Garrick, Barry Allen and Wally West. So there are three different "comic book" meetings for The Flash and Superman. The Smallville Flash is a lot closer to being Wally West, who was Kid Flash on the Teen Titans before he took over for Barry Allen after he died in the Crisis on Inifinite Earth's series. (Which attempted to tie up a lot of the loose ends in DC Comics.)
So in a manner of speaking, Smallville couldn't have had the Flash meet Clark in Smallville, without destroying some form of "modern" continuity. (Which is why it's better to think of the Smallville Clark as an entirely different plane of existance from the Comicbook Superman.)
In the comic book, the Flash has out ran Superman several times, and I'm thinking that Smallville is no different. The race at the end of Run, shows Bart, goofing off on Clark....running backwards, then he smniles and is gone....Clark doesn't even attempt to match it.

Yes but there was a Superman Cartoon on a while ago and it had Clark and The Flash Racing around the world to see who was the fastest. But on the way they had to keep Saving people and So they never officially got to finish the race, so the show ended by them racing again.

How did it turn out in the cartoon? I'm not really a fan of the cartoon versions, but I'm interested in the differences none the less.
In the comics, Wally West mainlines power from the Speed Force, and it makes him the fastest creature in the universe. HE can vibrate his body with such a quickness that he can walk through walls...ala Emily...and can even run through time. He can also tap into the power of other creatures who siphon energy from the speedforce.

Im not much of the cartoon watcher either. i just remember this because i was like 8 or 9 but it just ended in them racing again, so you never got to see who won. Do you think i am totally Clue less about Superman. I do know about that.
