Before I begin to rant, I just want to say that in all honesty I'm sure a paladin tank has its uses.
Throughout my gameplay over the past two years of WoW, I have come to learn that there are a lot of evil, annoying people in the world. People who roll need on cloth armor with intellect stats when they wear plate and clearly have better gear. People who will see you killing three mobs just so you can gather that herb next to you, and they loot it while you're downing the third guy. People who roll need on a weapon that you actually need, only because it "Looks cool, or would be really useful on my alt."
And through a mysterious amount of observation I have come to know that 2 out of 3 times on my server or other servers I happen to play on, the class being the jerk is a paladin. I hate holy fighters.
In all of my existence as a WoW player, I will never roll a paladin. Good day to you.

Good day to you. ok... your an idiot... just because a few pala's are like that you hate em all, oh how much sense that makes... not. every class has people like that. plus this topic is about paladin tanks being accepted because they're good tanks, not about paladins in general being ninja's and what not (in my experience it's hunters who are like that) but every class has it's arseholes.

I've had Shadow priests take healing gear away from my Resto druid for an 'off set'. I've seen mages take melee maces with strength etc on them away from my shaman for just in case they need to go to melee range. Paladins have stole my tanking gear and will never use it. Hunters have taken my feral staff from kara because they thought it looked cool. I've had people take rare BoP enchanting patterns from kara when they're at 52/100 enchanting and I'm at 375/375. The worst offenders for the herb thing is warlocks x.x They usually come by and fear me lol. Don't judge a class because of the people that have pissed you off. They're in every single race and class throughout the game. To say paladins do all the ninjaing isn't true XD As rainbow says... This is about paladin tanks lol....

I'm MT for a guild on Khadgar (US) and we're 5/6 SSC and progressing now through TK... I'm a paladin. Viable or no, it's the way we roll.

anyone who isn't a complete tard knows that pally tanks can do whatever they want with the right gear. I tanked grull and all of kara and the eye... better than our warrior actually... but it just depends if they have the gear for it. pallys take better gear to tank and thats fine. Best bet: go holy till you get all your tank stuff... then you're good to go.
Just don't go ret.

I tanked grull and all of kara and the eye... better than our warrior actually... but it just depends if they have the gear for it. pallys take better gear to tank and thats fine. Best bet: go holy till you get all your tank stuff... then you're good to go. Just don't go ret. Goju blackdragonflight allience. bring it i have full kara epics for my tanking gear and it's just the top guilds in ma realm are stuck in their old ways about not liking pally tanks, i've found a friendly guild who was just starting up tho and i've been MT all through kara we only need to kill netherspite and nightbane only had 2 goes on nether yet and none on nightbane. my current guild worships the ground i walk on lol because i solo tank most of it so we can get more dps or an extra healer.

My guild has a paladin tank lol :p
he tanks the hyjal adds and bt adds and crap like that and makes taking trash on WAYYY easier :p yes they have there uses for AOE tanking in hyjal and in BT.
Also a pally tanks Gurtogg bloodboil in bt too biggrin
