Mmm, Chapters just got in the newest book in the Horus Heresy series! It's the second book in the series and follows Galaxy in Flames, though it may in fact preceed GiF, I haven't quite been able to iron down the time line. It does seem more plausible that it incorporates GiF, but in any case, I'm boring and confusing everyone who doens't know anything about the history of Warhammer 40,000.
I suggest that if you like Sci-Fi, pick up these books, definate page turners, solid characters, excellent stories.
For anyone interested in the game, visit www.games-workshop.com. I garauntess you'll be blown away at the level of depth the creators have put into this game.
Anywho! I'm off to nuzzle into the pages once more before bed!

I only read "Warhammer 40K, The Armor of Comtempt" but I thought it was wicked good, and I think there are at least 20 more books like it... I feel out of the loop, though, like when you accidentally read the middle or end of a trilogy, instead of 1, 2, THEN 3.... oh well. it was an intense read, I couldn't help but read it in 1.5 days.

I haven't heard of that one Speaker, I tend to read only the books that have story arcs based around the armies I play. If you want a really good warhammer series go read Horus Rising. Its the first book in the Horus Heresy series and is right now 5 books and due to where Fulgrim, the last book, left off I'm sure they will be continuing the series.

The Great Lion I haven't heard of that one Speaker, I tend to read only the books that have story arcs based around the armies I play. If you want a really good warhammer series go read Horus Rising. Its the first book in the Horus Heresy series and is right now 5 books and due to where Fulgrim, the last book, left off I'm sure they will be continuing the series. the Lion sounds awesome, I love those kinds of books (that follow "the Grunts" as they witness their slow demise on the battlefield) but I'm also all-for political overtures. that's why I love the Halo series, it deals with forked-tongue politics and high-octane action. Just a thought, since they're similar genres. The Starcraft books aren't half-bad either.
