Just a pirate crew & ship thread. - "It’s bad luck to have a woman on board, too, even a miniature one."~ Pirates of the Caribbean Articles of Agreement that pirates swore an oath to uphold often included a ban on women aboard their ships. After all, “women were weak, feckless, hysterical beings who distracted men and brought bad luck to ships, calling forth supernatural winds that sank vessels and drowned men.”~ http://www.cindyvallar.com/womenpirates.htmlIf women are such bad luck, then all ships that have women on them should drown, right? Then how is it that the Black Rose, with a FEMALE Captain, is prosperous? Maybe it's because no one really knows that the Captain is a female in disguise. The medallion around her ("his") neck makes her ("him") appear masculine, with the muscle and form of a male. When it is off of the neck, however, it shows what is truly there - a fully grown female form. On this ship, there are no weapons with firearms. Why? Because the Black Rose is fast enough to outrun being boarded, as well as there being a problem with a fire on board last year. If ye do, ye will not know that the Captain (Roscoe) is really a female (Rose). There is enough vitals and beverages, don't worry. And the crew hasn't had problems with boarding this year. As for King Poseidon, the Black Rose has not had problems since Roscoe became the Captain. "Dang it, woman. I told you not to accept callers from my ship!!!" a male's voice bellows inside a bedroom, the door rattling on it's hinges.
"Roscoe, let me explain. I didn't..."
"No, Rose! We already decided to agree on this. I will not put up with this! This is a bucket of bulls***. We're leaving and you're not going to stop us," the man says, in an angered tone.
"Fine! If you won't listen to me or respect me, your sister, then get out of here! I don't want to see you anymore!"
A pot is heard crashing in the room, right before a well-dressed man leaves the room. He closes the door behind him.
"I don't care! Just leave me alone!" the woman screams from inside the room, locking the door.
The man with braided brown hair, with the bottom of his long coat floating around his legs and his hat in hands, shakes his head. He walks downstairs, leaving a message to the manager to tell the manager that he will be gone for about three months (unless something comes up).
"Very well, sir," the manager says before he leaves, "We'll take care of your sister in the meantime."
The man nods and, stepping outside, puts on his cap. A few men, who were leaning against the building, straighten.
"She didn't take it well, I assume?" one of the men says.
"Nope. ...as always, the little brat," he replies, starting towards the dock, "Well, then, let's head out and get away from these self-loving arrogant land-lubbers."

The Captain and part of his crew arrive at the dock. His first mate calls out to the other crew onboard that the Captain has come.
Starting with his right foot, the Captain ascends the plank to board the ship. Making sure to step onto the ship with his right foot, being a superstitious person around his crew, he finally gets to the deck of the Black Rose. A black cat runs from stem to stern.
"Even Midnight is ready to go," Roscoe laughs, turning to his crew, and says, "Crew! All hands on deck! Get ready to sail to the next town!"
"Aye aye, Captain!" the crew says, getting to their posts.
The Captain goes to the wheel, his Sailing Master at the wheel.
"Get us out of this forsaken town," Roscoe says, crossing his arms, "We can stop at the next town to find crew, since we didn't find any here."
((OOC: I will post another post soon so to get the ship to the next town. However, you must wait until we dock in the next town so to ask to be part of the crew.))

The Black Rose sails near the next town on the coast, a town named 'Underhill' though not even near hills. The Captain looks from the deck and tells his first mate to change the sails to friendly sails. The crew knows that it indicates that they are to go into the town, pulling up to the dock.
"Boys, we're going to have to act nice for these gentlemen of the law," Roscoe says, a smile on his face and in his voice.
The crew laughs as they ready to go into a town, again - second town in about 48 hours.
About an hour after Roscoe's warning to the crew, the "cleaned up" ship of the Black Rose has pulled into the dock. The swords-master and the first mate have made sure that the ship does not get taxed an excessive amount (close to at sword's edge, but not quite). Roscoe and a handful of his men pass by the first mate and the swords-master so to go searching for more able bodied recruits.
