ThPriestess GeminiKizzy Willow--Rosenburg And Ianto would hang onto that... ROFL! Snort, snort, choke . . . The thing that scares me is the thought of a giant, um, Thingie of Boe wandering around on its own . . . burning_eyes Seriously, though, I'm writing some fan fic (nowhere near as rude as this thread!)--what's the date on the "face of Boe is pregnant" comment? I'm trying to figure out (assuming that Jack=Face of Boe), would he still be human in River Song's time in the 51st Century? I'd like to invite him to the wedding . . . mrgreen Giant thingie? OMG I gotta see that episode lol. but yeah didn't the face of Boe die? and Jack can't so maybe thats the answer. It's not him, just a nick name or mix up.

Or it could be that Jack (as Boe) is so ridiculously old, as well as his giving life-force to open the city in Gridlock, and those two facts together is enough for him to eventually die. Plus I'm not sure if that fluid stuff was part of it either but it cracked too.

Rather possable. I wonder if those questions will ever be answered in Who or Torch, Rumors are that there will be more Torchwood, but only time will tell.

Wouldn't it be interesting if in 1000 years, someone would walk up to Boe and ask: "Do you remember Ianto Jones?" I think that would satisfy a LOT of people.

Maybe it doesn't really need saying, but I for sure think The Face of Boe is Jack. I think that mainly because Jack told the Doctor how he was "The Face of Boe," as in he's got a hot face(Tru fax, 'yo). Also, Jack and The Face of Boe never meet. As we know, Jack, who's been alive over 4 times in 1941, has gone out of his way to not meet himself or cross his own timeline. Boe Face and Jack never, ever met.
Another thing about his "race." I think it really is just his name, kinda like he took up the name Captain Jack Harkness. Being named the same Captain Jack Harkness would eventually gain notice especially while looking or having photos of a humanoid look(Aka Jack). He couldn't exactly go on until the 51st century(having already existed there) with "Captain Jack Harkness," as a title. He's already noted upon for age, let alone name.
Lastly, when he died, he told the Doctor that everything has it's time. Jack himself also said that coming back from death was like be dragged across broken glass(not quote on quote, but I remember it). He's found harder and harder deaths, often taking longer to recover. I imagine he's resisted coming back and finally, after forcing his body and life into being a battery, was able to fully resist returning to life. Kinda like becoming immune to certain poisons after continuous doses.
Maybe. /end boring rant
