ok so me and my friends are hotrodding our squiers and were changing everything i just want any suggestions on what i should use for:

Neck
Pickups
Pickguard
Strings

Thats about it so please suggest stuff

Neck: I'd reccomend anything with a rosewood fretboard and jumbo frets.

PUPS:

if you're humbucking it, go for some seymour duncan invader pickups.

Pickguard: make sure it can house the PUPS, but i say go for a black or mother of pearl finish. black won't show dirt though.
Strings: DR .009 set OR elixirs.

that's if I were to trick it out.

get a neck from warmoth...i believe they have 24 fret versions as well which is great for shredding. you can have your choice of fret wire and finger board. for a bright guitar like a strat youd want rosewood, ebony would make it too bright IMO

Don't forget to get new tuners as well. Squier puts the flimsiest tuners ever on their guitars. I'd suggest either Sperzel locking or Grover tuners.

For your strings, get GHS Boomers. GHS makes the best strings I have ever played.

I used to think so as well until I started using SIT Power-wound's... They are damn good! Except my dad bought a different gauge of string so I had to reset my effing bridge >.<
