I loved this episode! The only thing I lament is my lack of seriousness towards it. xd

My impressions on it:

Aang looks cute constipated. xd

If your really quiet you could hear the Zutarians screaming in pain at Roku's wedding at the obvious "You can get Katara if you're patient" talk. xd

I finally got to say the title of this topic. Ever since I saw that abridge episode I wanted to say that!! xd

I have this image in my head of Zuko fighting Aang just to end up screaming and bawling while saying "Great Grandpaaaaaaa!! Daddy doesn't love me!!" (I blame Avatar abridge xd )

So maybe I'll watch it again and maybe be more serious about it. XD

I loved good abridged series. Luckily avatar has a good one, but yugioh owns.

And I loved Roku. The whole "grab a cookie" joke made me giggle.

When I saw GanXingba's abridged series I couldn't stop Loling for weeks afterward. ESPEACIALLY his new one with Haru xd
The grab a cookie was funny too, it reminds me of on Gaia when a nooblet does a good thing people usually post *Gives Cookie*
I thought at the end though when Iroh handed him the *crown thing* that it obviously means he's gonna either:
A: Halp Aang
B: Stop trying to kill the avatar
C: he is gonna teach Aang firebending.

That episode was absolutely amazing!!! Roku being Zuko's great grandfather!!! My mouth just dropped when I heard that. Finally Iroh talked, Ive been wanting tohear him for a long time, I miss his lectures to Zuko. So now that Zuko knows more about his good great grandfather Roku hopefully he'll pull his head out of his a** and start doing things right 3nodding

While I don't think Zuko is bad, just emo (I've seen people and characters with worst deals and better sense than Zuko) I don't really want him helping Aang. To me he's like Kaiba from Yugioh, but with emo powers. xd He should just do his thing (like find his mom) while Aang gets another master. Maybe Iroh... But that won't happen.

I think the only one who beats Zuko is Rath from Dragon Knights. Which is why I love Cesia. She b-tch slaps him in my name whenever he goes emo.

Man, I'm asking for the wrath of the Zuko fangirls. I wonder if it will be as bad as when I said Shiuchi from Gravitation was a whiny b-tch and the only reason he had fans was because he was male and everyone knows there are a lot of fangirls with double-standards.

You think that killed Zutara?

I actually found some points where it supported it.
Or, at least, it encouraged the whole Gaang + Zuko shebang. Which will, at least, lead to Zutara fandom of win.

I liked it alot. Zuko was angsty, but in a good way. It brought up some interesting questions, and also showed how the world of A:TLA is all interconnected.

It was pretty flipping sweet.

Totally agree with you there.
And, next weeks episode is gunna be so much more awesome.
Hopefully they'll start to explain some of the questions that were brought up in this episode.

Hah.

Not a chance.

I'm sure that alot of them won't be answered 'till the end.

We must be patient! 14 episodes left!

haha i loved all the little references in this episode
for example:
roku: (talking about earth bending) it was bitter work...
me: hehehehhe... old eppie reference...

and at the very end
i thought we were getting some taang there
but katara grabbed toph's other hand almost immediatey after
and i kinda giggled at how quickly that moment was ruined

and don't even get me started on that plot twist. was that a curveball or what?

yep, this was the best one yet :]

I was kinda shocked into silence for a minute when I heard that. Never saw that comming. Roku being Zuko's great grandfather? Well it does lend reasoning on why Azula is such a powerful firebender. Being descended of the Fire lord and the Avatar will probably help that.

A thought though. How did Iroh get Roku's hair piece? Did Sozin retireve it after Roku died? But how? It was burried in the house under the ash and lava. I wonder who else knows that little part of thier history? If iroh knows, who else? I'm thinking that its not a widely spread truth. And it does explain the significance of the blue and red dragons. If only great grandpa Roku could see Zuko and Azula now. he would probably turn in his grave.

That's a really good point about Azula being so talented in bending. With that in mind, I think Zuko has some latent powers that have yet to be seen.

I'm not sure how Iroh got Roku's hair piece. Maybe his wife went back to recover his body and took the hair piece to pass it down through their family. Wasn't Zuko's mom wearing the hair piece? Maybe she gave it to Iroh before her death/exile... Also, I think I remember seeing a picture of Lu Ten wearing it in the picture Iroh had from the episode when everyone was around Bai Sen Sai.

I'm sure Roku is indeed rolling in his grave.

I hope that Zuko will find some balance now that he knows the two sides of his ancestry. We shall see...
