First off, up front... I'm no teenager. If that bothers you, as it seems to bother many people I've met in Gaia, then you can stop reading and no harm done.
If you want to actually know me, then welcome to my dizzy life!
The age I feel, the age I am in my heart and soul, is 10 years younger than I actually am. My son (yes, I have a 19 year old son) says I act his age most of the time.
Beware... Once I start talking.....
Ok... The real me...
I love head-banger music. I listen to heavy metal, death metal, alternative rock, punk (oh and a teensy bit of other things)
I love fantasy, sci fi, thrillers...in my movies, games, books..... I'm an anime junkie, manga junkie, Gaia addict.
I enjoy paintball (woods, not speedball-- I'm a sniper), hiking, fishing, camping, photography, computers, gaming (especially the ff series, Guildwars, Dark age of Camelot), astronomy, paleontology, archaeology, the mountains, the beach, solitude. Until I get to know you, I'm shy. I will lurk in a thread and never post unless I know someone there.
I would die to protect my family and my friends, and possibly to even save a stranger.
My entire life has been spent helping others. It is not a job or a career. It is a life-choice. Both in the real world and the pixellated one.
I am a nurse. I have specialty certifications in orthopedic nursing, advanced cardiac, and advanced pediatric life support. I work in all departments but one: I don't like labor and delivery!! I am also a traveling nurse. I work temporay assignments all over the U.S. I usually stay for a 3 month period and then go somewhere else. I have been a nurse longer than many of you have been alive. (Before that I was a firefighter)
I shoveled horse manure to put myself through college. If you want something bad enough....
I am divorced (sigh.. twice). I have seen almost everything there is to see, and done almost everything there is to do. Some of it stupid, some of it fun, some of it heartbreaking.
I live and travel alone. Sometimes that's ok, and sometimes it is overwhelming and all-encompassing. That's when I need Gaia the most.
My son is a Gaian. He brought me here. Said I would love it, and he's right. It is a place where I can be close to my friends and family no matter where I actually am, and can also be alone if it is what I need.
I believe in letting everyone be who they choose to be. I do not discriminate for age, race, gender, religion, orientation, likes/dislikes, or any other reason except for hate. I will not tolerate hate.
I have a VERY sarcastic sense of humor when you get close enough to me.
(example: I make my living drugging people and sticking them with needles! But I'm a nice person!! rofl )
ok, that is but a small part of me. You can wake up now, I'm done!

hey! we like alot of the same things! in fact i like all that stuff except for photography and im not much of a gamer... and i wanted to be a nurse, too!
so welcome to the guild, and dont be afraid to post! i promise we dont bite, and even if we do, theres several 100 miles and 2 thin glass screens between us, so it probably wont hurt.

My son is fine^.^
He takes care of my house in Missouri while I travel. He cares for the dog, 5 cats, rabbit, ferret, snake, mice, rat, and one of the 2 fish. The betta travels with me!

Kishu, I raised my son alone. I was and am his mom and his dad. I'll adopt you! mrgreen And as long as you clean up after them, you can have any pet you want!! (me, I want a mountain lion, but I guess I can't- He'd eat the others! rofl )
