Also, what is up with the increase in summons? Where are the advanced ninja skills that make these guys so famous?

XD Pein, Pain... No one seems to agree. Though it's amusing; the artists call him Pein, but the translators themselves call him Pain. Maybe it's a bit of artistic snubbery?
I don't know about the random increase in summons. =/ Maybe Pain recognizes Jiraiya's strength and would rather flatten him quickly with summons? (It reminds me of what I used to complain about in some anime. If you have a super mega awesome attack, why do you poo poo the enemy with the weak ones and let yourselves get your butt kicked... when you could just bring out the big guns and destroy them at the start of the fight? Pain seems to be trying to do that, maybe. XD; Or he's showing off...) I think Pain is one big advanced skill, with his crazy eyes of doom.
Hmmm, I'm curious about him as well. Although I'm curious what Konan is doing during all of this. ^^; It's a tad bit annoying to have her come around, finally a female member of the Akatsuki (it's still a gay bar in my opinion) and she just gets swept to the side. confused Ah well, Sasuke/Naruto/Itachi-ness was dropped to follow this arc, so I'm hoping she'll make another appearance as well.
I know the battle is over the top, but if Jiraiya happens to lose, people would most certainly complain that he lost so easily and to such a short battle. <3

If those two AREN'T Hidan and Deidara, someone's getting a smacking.
Anyway, do you think it's possible Hidan and Deidara were given new bodies? I mean, Orochimaru got a new body, and it slowly became a likeness of his original self. Prove me wrong here, people~ I'm in denial.
Anyway, I think it's possible they're back from the dead as summons. Maybe, like, the first and second hokage in the beginning of the series? It's possible.
But if Deidara IS alive again, I'm going to start crying. <3

@Koneko-chan: Konan's the Akatsuki's f** hag, because every gay guy needs one. <3 I hope she comes around again too, she's pretty awesome. I really like her.
And it'd be really cool if those two cummons really were Deidara and Hidan (more so Dei-chan though) because I really miss them.
Oh yes, and Jiraiya is now scary/ugly sad Damn toad technique makin' teh shmexy old guys oogly. *pouts*
