Aunt Jennifer's tigers prance across a screen, Bright topaz denizens of a world of green. They do not fear the men beneath the tree; They pace in sleek chivalric certainty.
Aunt Jennifer's fingers fluttering through her wool Find even the ivory needle hard to pull. The massive weight of Uncle's wedding band Sits heavily upon Aunt Jennifer's hand.
When Aunt is dead, her terrified hands will lie Still ringed with ordeals she was mastered by. The tigers in the panel that she made Will go on prancing proud and unafraid

1. What is it about? A girl's aunt's painting, or sculpture 2. Who is “speaking”? The niece, possibly nephew? of "Aunt Jennifer" 3. What poetic and sound devices are used? It rhymes, she uses personification for the tigers 4. Is there a major symbol? Explain The tigers are the small bit of confidence and enjoyment her Aunt had in her life 5. Is there an important metaphor? Explain. The tigers are what Aunt Jennifer could've been 6. Identify a striking image or emotion It seems rather sad. At the very least, apathetic. But the tigers sound beautiful.
