It was a warm morning in the local park, and a little Jack Russel was resting underneath a wooden table, hiding her eyes from the sun's light. The green female felt a great warmth beside her. Smiling, she peered her eyes open as she looked down at the 5 little fuzzy bodies beside her own. Yawning, she sat up a little and looked around for Coty. Maybe he went off for a little?
She shrugged, and then curled up beside the little puppies with a proud grin.

 He still couldn't believe it, not from the first time she said anything and not even when he saw the pups with his own eyes. And so, every morning when he woke up he thought it all a dream, the idea just some fantasy that continued to replay in his mind and grow. Having left his mate alone to think, he spent most of the morning doing just that by the waters.
At last, he made his way back, and just watched the five figures and the emerald beauty, at a loss as to the perfect view before him.

Lily counted them silently, with care. Then, she turned to view the figure's paws beside the table, and then she smiled warmly towards him. "Welcome back, Coty. Glad to see you come back. Its hard to feed puppies and hold down the fort at the same time." She chuckled lightly, and then nestled closer to the 5 puppies with a cheeky grin.
"Aren't they just lovely?" Her blue eyes sparkled as she looked back down at them. Then her view returned to the male as he came under the table. Lily wagged her tail lightly, and leaned up a little to lick her mate on the cheek.

He blinked at her lick and than looked down at the pups from his closer view, still speechless at the creatures. Finally, he curled on the other side of the little critters and laid his head near Lily's.
"I'm sorry...I still need to adjust..." His eyes were downcast a bit, and he sniffed the nearest pup to his head, before tentatively giving him a little lick.
"...it's still...all wow to me..." And for once, he really sounded like a fool, but at that moment, it was really what he meant. It was new, it was different, and it was amazing.
