I'm surprised none of you pointed this out, so I'm gonna be a p***k and do it.

There are at least 2 Powerpuff Girls - Gorillaz cross over references.
1. In the PPG newspaper in one epsisode, there's a picture of the Gorillaz
2. In one of the Gorillaz publicity pictures, 2D wears a Mojo Jojo shirt

And I think there's at least a third. =S I just can't remember what it is.

Plus, on the episode with the rock band, they had a spoof of the MTV cribs episode. Same camera angles, and Bloo was even trying to do Murdoc's accent. HE FAILED.

I wasn't too surprised when I found this BTW. I knew about those things you mentioned as well. Only when I realized Craig McCracken worked on Foster's was when I connected it. sweatdrop

I'm suprised no one put those on Wiki.
I knew about D's shirt, ala Rise of the Ogre, but I was not aware of the first one.

Oh, and don't forget the fact that Noodle lists Powerpuff Girls as one of her interests.

Me thinks McCracken is a Hewlett fan... or maybe the two know eachother.

My brother was part of the Powerpuff Girls Fan Club - don't ask - but every week he got newsletters with interviews with Mr. McCracken. And I think this was the way it happened:

McCracken admired Hewlett
McCracken put references to Hewlett in PPG
Hewlett repaid the favour by putting references to PPG in Gorillaz
McCracken was so overcome by the awesomeness of this that he had a heart-attack and had to be put on a respirator for the rest of his life was very happy.
