She awoke and the sky was a and she could feel the cold winter air coming from her bedroom window. Ever scince she had moved here from Tokyo, she felt a strange uneasiness hover about her. She shivered as she removed the covers and got up to close the window. When she reached the window, she poked her head out. It was raining and clouds blocked out all the stars and moonlight. BUt there was something different about it, something ominous and menacing in the air. She swallowed hard and gave another shiver then closed the door. She couldn't help but get the feeling the something terrible was about to happen. She shook the feeling and headed off to the restroom just down the hall. She agve a loud yawn and flipped on the switch when she felt it. A horrible tremor shook the room, the ground, then the whole house. And outside lightning crackeld through the sky. The tremor continued to grow worse to the point the floor beneath her cracked and began to come apart, and the foudation begin to split. She cried and jumped over a ever widing gap in the floor and ran to her parents room. To her surprise, they were not there, but their bed was still intact, and their clothes lying where they were supposed to be as if their inhabitants had melted away. Her heart raced and she began to cry as the peircing sound of a lound trumpet filled the sky followed by the crackling of lightning echoing behind. It whailed and howled, and thw iwnds blew as if a hurricane had just flown in and was right on her porch. She let out a cry but it was cut short by the sound of a cracking beam and the thundering of it toppling on top her. Blackness then overtook her.
