If this leaves the guild at any point during the planning phase, i will find you, ban you and curse you out. Not to mention i will hurt your feelings by shoving in your face that I MADE THIS s**t UP.
This is a practical synopsis of a comic i am trying to develop. Characters involved: Edmund Johnny The narrator Myself/one lucky Legionnaire/Iceketch - archivists A CHALLENGER APPEARS - Raven Codeyn
Anything occuring in present moment is italicized
The narrator - dressed in ragged clothes, possibly weather-worn. Addressing the questions of the archivists (mentioned above). The narrator describes to them one "Raven Codeyn," a soldier he served alongside, in the same military company that Edmund may have led. After working a tour of duty, Raven retired from the military and was recommended by Edmund to volunteer for a new anti-virus being created by a new pharmaceutical company, G-Corp. Of course, after hearing that he'd be compensated for his time ... Raven signed up for it. A signal going off in the G Corp labs - a unique signal never having gone of in the past 15 years. The labtech reports the signal and readings to Edmund and Gambino, who both panic. They recognize the signal as a subject codenamed "Israfil." Raven's past, describing the situation of the labs prior to H2k4, minor tests run, and the normal s**t that goes on in the labs and the holding/recreational areas. But every now and then he was administered "test shots" of the anti-virus, told repeatedly that they were completely harmless and would only cause a minor cold ... Each time, he grew more disturbed when the doctors administering the anti-virus looked shocked ... as if the results they desired were not showing up. At the same time, volunteers were rumoured to have disappeared or died - the labtechs said it was merely that they were released as the person requested leave. Raven was beginning to believe the labtechs were lying through their teeth. Back to Edmund and Gambino - the two place a lock on "Israfil" and Gambino orders that a few soldiers from Edmund's old military group be sent on a search and destroy mission - any means necessary to kill Israfil authorized. Edmund cautions Gambino's being too hasty, stating outright that Gambino has no idea what Israfil is capable of, seeing as he can "manipulate his contaminant." Raven, after becoming suspicious enough, finds a way to hack into the records for G-Corp ... and finds most damning evidence about the project.
(1) The Anti-Virus was really a prototype for a new biochemical weapon called the G Virus, which was part of some project called Perfect Heir. (2) The source of the virus is implied to be a female whose body is being used to incubate the virus (3) A photo with 5 men standing in front of a slide projector (blocked view) showing a part of the chemical makeup of the G Virus. The five men were Johnny K. (of course), LabtechX, Labtech13, Labtech123 ... and lead researcher and head of R&D, Christopher McDonough ... better known by his middle name - Edmund.
Having this much and saved to several discs he pilfered, Raven ran like hell in his casual clothes into the wilderness that surrounded the first G Corp facility (Gambino's mansion was the second) ... after months of searching, Gambino called off the search party and stated that Raven was to be assumed dead until further notice - not knowing what information was copied.
This was 15 years ago.
Troops hired by G-CORP close in on where the narrator and the archivists are currently located. The narrator senses their presence and orders the archivists to take a secret passage back to Barton, telling them they he had figured Gambino would have found him eventually. When the last member leaves, the soldiers bust in and prepare to attack the narrator - who calmly sticks out his hands and summons a shield timed to block the rapid gunfire. A green shield. After a quick and brutal slaughter, the narrator sheds his baggy outer clothing and hat to reveal
an appropriately-aged Raven.
A soldier's walkie-talkie goes off - Gambino is barking orders for response, with Edmund in the background of the audio, vainly telling Gambino to shut up. Raven answers the transmission with a simple "Hello, Edmund."
Edmund and Gambino hear this and recognize the voice - both of them calling him "Israfil," still holding the talk button.
The comic ends with a few panels illustrating Raven speaking to Edmund, saying "Yes, it's me. And since you so politely asked for a war ... you got one." Raven crushes the W-T in his hand and says to himself in the last panel as he walks away from his compound towards Isle de Gambino: "Ich bin sicher, es wird ein Unheil geschehn."
A simple one-shot. Needing artists and funds to pay Iceketch and WHOEVER will help make the comic.

*applies zipper to mouth and zips it shut* Nothing shall be said outside of here, nay nay.
Anyways... I like it. The connections to Gaia's actually plot complement the original ideas nicely, I think. As I said before, I offer my bio-mumbo-jumbo speak to you, if you need for the virology aspects.
This going to be a GCP project, once you get it underway?

I demand to be allowed to at least help with the illustration of the comic. XD
Can I do the cover?
Or something?
Anyway, it sounds like quite a fascinating idea. The storyline works very well with the existing plot.

Alaric Martin I demand to be allowed to at least help with the illustration of the comic. XD Can I do the cover? Or something? Anyway, it sounds like quite a fascinating idea. The storyline works very well with the existing plot. Cover if ya want. But that's IF Iceketch takes the offer. If he doesn't respond by Sunday Oct. 28 10 PM PST, he's out of the offer and you can draw the entire project. As stated, illustrator(s) WILL be compensated.

That sounds like a lot of fun. I hope Iceketch still wants to do the main comic, though, because I'm kind of busy with college so I wouldn't be able to go really fast.

I love where that's going. =O It's morbid enough for me to want more more more. =3
I can't offer any services to the project besides writing though, and I wouldn't want to horn in on it. If you ever need anything though, call me quick, 'cause I want to help.
