To whomever is concerned about guild inactivity, and also to whoever is currently running this guild and active enough to read this:
This guild does seem to be getting back to be even slightly a bit active now...but I would still like to describe how I keep my guild active.
My main account has a guild, and I keep it active and fairly clean (but for some reasons the numbers don't decrease, I think), by not only getting rid of inactive members who are inactive without warning or for too long, but also by getting rid of some inactive threads, even if it's just by locking them and moving them. That makes way for other threads to get posted. Getting rid of the inactive members also makes it easier to do this:
I also send PMs to my guild members warning them about inactivity and telling them what's new with the guild. If you have a lot of members, just take your time doing it. I tend to have open the member's list and my PM box, and I copy and paste one name at a time and send them PMs. You can copy and paste the PMs also, to make it even easier...to double the easyness, though I don't really do this, you can open a word or notepad program and put the message there so you don't have to go back to PMs to copy that PM, etc.
I took a couple of days to do that last PM spree, and I got flamed like...once, and that person got banned...but hey, it's cause I don't want meanies in my guild.
Anyway, it was just a suggestion. My guild's pretty active actually ^^;. I try not to let it get too inactive before sending the PMs either...but sometimes it does seem like that.
Oh right, and the warnings don't have to consist of a threat that they'll be banned, just a friendly reminder to get active or leave >>;.
