Okay! Recent reply of mine brought this up. How about we make a new contest.. that is focused around Amv's?
For those of you who don't know, an AMV is short of Anime Music Video. This is where someone takes an overlaying song, and times it/places it over a selection of clips of various/a specific series.
This is just an idea. I know many people, including myself, enjoy making AMVs.. and love it any more when we can have our work appreciated. So how about it?
I know it's just a start, but it's just that.. a start. ^_^ I'll post more ideas as they hit xD. Each in an individual thread so that the discussion can be held to that one specific point.

I'll need more information before I submit an AMV...like, does it have to be in English or is Japanese okay? Are there any characters you don't like and if I use them would that count against me in the AMV? How do I submit? When do I submit? And things like that...

Well of course, this is just an idea conglomeration. Buuut.. I would say the below submission rules would help.
1 : Make sure that there is nothing too offensive in the material that you use. Nothing Racist or Sexist.
2 : Use ONLY Gundam based series. This spans from Mobile Suit Gundam to Gundam 00.
3 : There is not a character limitation. You can't judge an AMV based on the characters used.
4 : Try to keep the Videos under 5 Minutes long. Any lnoger would be a space killer.
5 : IT MUST BE YOUR OWN WORK. I am an avid member of many groups such as AnimeMusicVideos.org. I KNOW when something has been used.

Sure, can it be something made within the past year or does it have to be brand new and prepared especially for the contest?
Will there be a theme?

No set theme.... But.. I would suggest making a new one. I'll be entering myself.
Oh, something I just thought of. If we're going to make this official..
1 : To enter, you must present a 30 second - 45 second clip of a video that presents your abilities. ANIME based only. This is basically an entrance exam, it can be of any anime.
2 : Depending on how many people enter, there will be a 1K gold entry fee. The winner gets the conglomeration of all of the gold. I'll be donating 5K in gold to the pot, so there's a guaranteed 5000 Gold for the winner already.

Okay...I'm not joining for two reasons.
1. You plan on entering yourself. If you're the contest maker/the judge...you shouldn't be entering yourself also...
2. The 1 k or so fee to join...you can forget that too...especially if all the prize will be is probably 5 k...

You can't judge if you're going to compete. I'm willing to judge if this can be pulled off. I swear I will smite anyone who submits a slideshow though.

Scam? >> Wow. A Mod trying to support the guild called a scammer. XD! That's the day...
Anyway, no, all fees will be sent to the guild mule.
Time to revive this thing by the way. Currently working on my 45 seconds ;D.
And yes.. Slideshows are not allowed.. =.=;
Edit : The Video length has been extended to 1:15 seconds at most. >> I couldn't get what I wanted in 0:45... So yeah.. ^_^!
