Hello! I apologize if this is in the wrong place, please correct me so I don't embarrass myself further.

I was recently admitted to this guild, much to my utter joy; but stumbled upon the realization that I don't have a name for the thing I can do.

Basically, I can see people's dreams. It usually starts when I come in contact with someone. There will be a strong spiritual/psychic urge to talk to them, accompanied with a vision of what they were dreaming about.
I'll act on this urge usually if I know the person really well, otherwise they might think me crazy. Who knows, they might be right!

We will then start talking about the dream, and the images come piecemeal at first, then I can usually see the whole thing playing out before me whether or not they told me what happened. Sometimes there will be sound along with the vision, but what I usually pick up on are small details, like a red apple in the corner or a dark face on the ceiling.
I see those things and I wonder if it's just my mind placing them there, or if my friends just have really weird dreams. My guess is that it's a bit of both.

By the time I've finished my 'walk-through' of their dream, I either feel drain or I'm absolutely full of energy and want to see what others were dreaming about.

So my very loyal readers, my question is: Do any of you have this ability as well? Do you know anyone who can do this too? I would dearly love feedback.

Wow I haven't done that w/ living people! I do have those experiences w/ some of the spirits I work with, all the time. But yeah, I'd say your special. You sound pretty cool for some reason to me, and I can't help but feel platonically attracted to you. I'm sure theres something to that. But anyways I hope I didn't creep you out. I just feel that, THAT power you have is very essential and I think you should hone it and work with it and other people. I feel maybe thats what you 'supposed' to do. IDK maybe I'm just weird though.

Oh but I do know of somethings that help. Theres mentions of people who cure other people "magically", like magicians. And they have some powers like that and to travel to God(s)'s territory to help someone spiritually. (Theres stuff like that in the Aztec religion me thinks, I'd have to get good info on it for you though if you want it.) Making a educated guess here, I think that might be one of the reasons you have this power.

BTW your poll made me lol.

Xuchil-Thank you so much. I realize that what I can do isn't something most people have ever heard of, but still. Your post was very helpful. I'll look into the "magicians" and their abilities; you've given me a lot to think about. I was nervous this thread would be a complete flop and I'd be left as clueless as before.

So, thank you for your info and time. I hope to see you around. And I'm glad you enjoyed the poll.

I have some info on how the Aztecs viewed this kind of sorcery, but I have heard others' from different cultures too. If you ignore the Nahualli (totem) animal part you can get a gest of what i was trying to say here:

"In addition to the powers of animals, Aztec sorcerers were well versed in herbs and magical concoctions, and often seemed to walk a fine line between curer one moment and hired hexer the next. There is significant evidence that a great deal of Aztec sorcery relied on a knowledge of very real forms of seemingly mystical assassination. In the purely mystical realm, however, Aztec sorcerers were also feared and revered for their strong abilities in navigating the spiritual worlds through their dreams. A truly accomplished nahualli could strike at his enemies’ souls or heal his clients’ spirits during sleep. Such sleeps were usually preceded by extremely lengthy rituals and supplications made to the gods upon whose territory the nahualli wished to proceed. It is important to note, however, that asking permission to proceed with your will is a very different matter than calling upon the gods to run errands for you, as so many modern magical practitioners seem to believe is proper."

Here is the link if you want to read the rest: http://www.amoxtli.org/cuezali/nahualli.html

I think your natural power to come to those in dreams has to do with you spiritually aiding and healing them. I really think you could become very accomplished at healing and aiding if you honed your skills.

I think you have a wonderful ability! Well, can't say I have any info on it but it was nice of you to share!

I'm flattered out of my socks. Xuchil, thank you for the info and the link; I was going to try wikipedia, but you saved me so much hassle. I'm going to work hard on honing my ability, it seems I've found something I'm inherently good at. And Zeromaye, thanks for being so nice. That...actually sounds a bit retarded, but genuine kindness is something I don't often stumble upon. So yes, thank you both.

I can't believe I didn't reply to this earlier! That gift is so interesting, it sounds like such a fascinating thing to be able to do. It sounds a bit like being able to sense a picture from someone's mind, only instead it;s a dream...

Xuchil, your information is fascinating, I wonder if the spiritually healing thing does tie into this ability? Interesting thing to speculate...

What I have figured out from personal experience or UPG (Unsubstaniated Personal Gnosis) is that someone's abilities and personality are determined by their nahualli. (Your nahualli is your soul.) Its not good to say what your nahualli is publically, but for example, mine has incrediable eye sight on par with the animal it is and therefore I am blessed with the power of sight.

As for as personality traits go, I work with the god Tezcatlipoca (yes gods have nahualli too) His nahualli is a jaguar and I can 'see' that the polygamy thing (He has 4 wives) is a personality trait written into His nahualli.

According to the Aztecs everyone has nahualli. I believe this, but I don't believe that everyone needs their nahualli and I believe that most don't use them at all.
