I've just come back from a 2.5 hours drive (I was the passenger), well it was a bit boring and one of my many wanderings was this; If you were given the opportunity to go and visit the house that you will be living in in fifty years would you take up that chance or politely turn it down? I was thinking it would be nice to see if anything I want now actually pans out, but at the same time it sort of ruins any surprises.

I know what you mean...I would be too curious not to find out but at the same time I'd feel like it would ruin the ride if I knew where the destination was.

Too true. I'd have the same problem but I wouldn't know if my curiosity would prevail unless the actual possibility is presented to me

there's only one thing. if someone shows you the house you'll be living in in 50 years, then you might try or do something to change that predicted outcome, therefore not ending up in said house...
time loop holes and parallel dimensions... xp

Or if you see the future, the effort of trying to avoid the future may end up making the future D:

I wouldn't want to because I might find out that I won't be alive in fifty years and I don't want to worry that I will be dead by then and be paranoid about every single thing that might kill me.

Well I don't know, fifty years is a long time. I've always figured I'll die young. Also, imagine the poor magic time traveling Genie having to break the news.
