Yeah I agree. The did pretty good on keeping the show in it's traditional way but I would disargee with Lights voice actor. His voice just dont cut it with me. Ryuk voice is ok but lights voice is just mess up. (plus I'm a big light fan! twisted )

I know what you mean on voice actors. My friend is the same way. She's big Raito fan and me with L. I like the japanese voices better. *goes and watches DN in japanese* (big fangirl squeal)

i can put up with Ryuuk's voice now....but theres no appeal for me in the english dub.

the japanese seiyuu are like naturals....hearing light makes me wonder if that guy has the **** to actually become manipulative.

I must admit Death Note on adult swim is really awesome.. i watch it every weekend, but don't you think the voices could be better?

I'm a lot more fond on the Japanese voices. Raito sounds way too generic for me. L has a bit of a robotic voice :/ Ryuk's is ok, but it doesn't have the same playfulness as his Japanese counterpart >.< I still prefer L screaming about Shinigami in Japanese.

I know for the Japanese voice actors I was worried when they cast Raito's voice actor as the same one who played Tamaki (Ouran), but it turned out really well biggrin

I'm really wondering what Near and Mello will sound like.
