My guess was that she had some men write it for her? And Ones For Those You Can't Let Go That seems sexist for the men to be educated, and Xena not!

Well if we were to be realistic..then it would make sence.
Xena, however, might of been able to read some..but had trouble. But hey, who needs to read when you've got yourself your own translator; Gabrielle.

I meant men as in the men in her army. I don't believe there were any other women in her army...besides that chick from england that she betrayed...but other than that I'm sure it was men...I meant men from her army hahaha, don't worry.
However, Kono has a point with the whole it being more realistic. And Ones For Those You Can't Let Go

Xena could read right from the beginning but chose not to read Gabrielle's scrolls because she thought they would just be all about her (Xena). She didn't like Gabrielle prasing or hero worshipping her in her stories so why read them.
