So The hospital released me with a cracked scapula(shoulder blade) and three broken ribs. Two of the ribs were only cracked really and one was "slightly displaced." Healing time = 4-6 weeks of pain
So a few days ago, suddenly I start getting pain in my side and some sharp, stabbing pain kinda right under my arm in my chest. I was also running low on my prescription. So I go to a doctor today and he takes an X-ray. We get it back and discover that I actually have 4 broken ribs and one of them is VERY displaced! We have no idea 1.how it became displaced and 2. why the hospital didn't notice the fourth one.
look at my wonderful diagram to explain:

So yeah, the really displaced rib is going to take a whole lot longer than 6 weeks to heal, and it hurts like a maniac. The doctor asked how many of the pain pills I take a day (5) and he was all "Well, I'll give you enough for 5 or 4 a day for a month." A MONTH!!! It makes me worry that I am going to need pain relief that strong for a whole month. Also, the pain med is known to be addictive. There is a very big chance that even if I don't abuse it or anything that I will go through a nasty physical withdrawal when I finally am able to get off it.
